apple tv is a great product. It allows streaming video from netflix etc to give you literally thousands of shows to watch. Its easy and compact and sets up quickly. Its also quick to configure and works with any tv with hdmi ports.

I had been going back and forth for quite sometime in my quest to find a streaming device perfect for my family. We own iPhone's and multiple iPads and an extensive library of purchased material on iTunes. We also have subscriptions to Amazon Prime, Netflix and Hulu+. We knew that deciding on an Apple Tv would mean that we would not be able to utilize Amazon Prime, but it was a sacrafice we were willing to make. Prior to our purchase we had been utilizing a chromecast for all of our streaming needs. This worked well, but we did not like the idea of always having to utilize a device for streaming. (chromecast does not support prime). However, our chromecast had worked perfectly since we purchased it on its release. We had great internet reception and content loaded quite quickly. The initial set up of the Apple Tv was very easy and user friendly. Like all apple products it was very intuitive and easy to use. All seemed fine...until I started receiving multiple error messages. I went to Apple.com for direction and it provided solid solutions to mend the issues we were having. However, these issues were only temporary. The source seemed to be a poor wireless signal, something we never experienced with our chromecast. So, because of that I am rating this three stars. We decided to purchase a fire tv instead, and am hopeful that it will provide the service we were hoping our apple tv was going to. All that being said, if you are an apple house hold and do not utilize Amazon Prime this is probably the device for you.

I have always loved Apple products for their top quality coupled with their user friendliness. The Apple TV is no different! It was super easy to setup and it is super sleek! But, most importantly for me, it is super easy to use. A child could learn to use the simple remote control! Two thumbs up! Also, I can get HBO NOW! How awesome is that!

Like all streaming devices it is missing a few of the apps I use but overall is a great device. Works well with my apple devices.

This is my 4th Apple TV. I have them in my bedroom, living room, office and home theater room with 10' screen and projector. Apple TV is very dependable and so easy to use. I can use my iphone or iPad to control the Apple TV. Also I can use Keynote, Home Theater (create my own video) from Apple TV to play, pictures, icloud and so on. Everything is so integrate with all Apple computers, all iOS, iphones, ipads, and Apple TV. I even can play iphone or ipad throough Apple TV to see on big HDTV to play video games. That is very cool. Example the Real Racing HD is awesome. Watched the Netflex, Youtube, Vimeo and others all the time. I would not buy other brand like Samsung or anything replace over Apple. I trust this product as it is very well built and very simple to use. I am very pleased.

Overall a great product that is both economical and easy to set up & use straight out of box. Can use with all your apple products. Keeps everything streamlined and together all in one place. Provides options for the entire family. Play music, movies, games, you tube and so much more. I would reccomend this product to anyone who is a fan of Apple.

I have been using this much more than I expected. I have NBA league pass with the cable company. My team is always shown in low def and the other teams announcers. Apple TV let's me use NBA league pass broadband that lets me watch any game in high definition and select the home or away feed. very easy to use. You can also stream any movie you have purchased from itunes. Plus airplay for video and audio is easy to use and works well from my iPad. All you need is an internet connection and and HDMI cable. Very simple small and easy to install and use. The remote is very basic and even the iPad app that you can use as a remote control does not have a keyboard option to search for items so it can be slow if you have to spell something out in search. That is the only drawback that I can think of.

With seamless integration with the ecosystem of Apple products, the Apple TV (ATV) is a must-have a iDevice owners. The setup involves plugging the device in and turning the TV on. The remote is responsive but does sometimes require more direct line-of-sight than standard television/blu-ray/DVD remotes. On the upside, using the Remote app from Apple (free) allows simple control and is much easier to type with than selecting individual letters/numbers/etc by scrolling with the associated remote. Anything you can show on your iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, iPad mini, Macbook Pro, iMac, etc can be shown on the Apple TV (though the computers require a software download unless you have already upgraded to Mountain Lion which has airplay built in). This is a no-hesitation purchase and would make a great gift! It just works.

Works well especially with air play. Very happy with product

I bought this because my cable provider didn't offer particular sports programming that was available over the Internet. Apple TV turned our smart TV into a smarter TV with functions much easier to use. And did I mention the hockey is streamed in great resolution? Sometimes it will buffer, but that's probably the result of our ISP and not this receiver. Overall we are satisfied with our little friend and look forward to exploring all of the other features and benefits this device provides.
