Before buying an AppleTV, I tried out Google Chromecast and hated it because you needed every app on your phone or whatever device you wanted to use it with. However, with Apple TV you don't. All you need is a HDMI cable, the remote, your TV, and a wireless internet connection. I love it and will not look back.

I bought the smaller version for myself and this new generation for my son who is a tech geek/genius. He loved loved loved loved it. He has it paired with all his Apple devices And controls his whole system with his iPhone. The best of all streaming devices plus this one comes complete with Siri. Buy it!

I like that this is easy set up and doesn't take up much room. I like being able to browse through my items.

I had my reservations on whether I needed this since I have a MacMini set up as a media server but I have found that streaming from my laptop to my big screen TV is so handy for so many things. I made a good choice. Wasn't sure if I wanted to go with a Roku or Google TV. The Apple TV was much better for my environment.

I have tried several devices to connect the internet to our office TV. The best, by far, is AppleTV. I love how easy it is to connect and how easy it is to operate. It has worked flawlessly from the get-go.

This device works great for accessing iTunes media library/purchases. Also, it has a looooong list of apps and has the absolute BEST and EASIEST to use menu system/navigation. Great video and sound quality output. And the best part about it is AirPlay. You watch your Apple device content on your TV wirelessly.

It takes the place of cable. Provided you have a lot of data, unlimited data, or free Wi-Fi. You can even watch trailers of up coming shows, or catch up with old seasons through the menu. It is even great for business owners wanting to show a slide show presentation. That can be done with AirPlay. Great in so many ways. Saves me money monthly/ verse phone bill and cable. You do the math. It payed for it self. My opinion, it is like Netflix (Apple style).

Good variety of channels and viewing option. Enjoy using the air drop option. Great sound and picture quality.

The Apple TV is fantastic! Very easy to use and set up. Many programming options such as iTunes, Hulu plus, ESPN and HBO Go. Very easy to show pictures and videos from your phone. Screen mirroring is A great way to watch entertainment from your phone onto your television. You can't go wrong with this technology.

I bought it since bestbuy had a $10 discount. I use it now regularly to watch YouTube, HBO, and etc. the best part is that now it connects to my PC via iTunes. So I can play my video collections, view photos, music which are all stored on my PC. I don't have run any wires. It connects via home wireless network.

I love it because you don't have to deal with all those unwanted cords to connect your iphone, laptop, macbook, iPad, etc that you could trip over or have messy area of cords. Its easy to use and set up is very quick and you can stream anything to your tv wirelessly. The only 3 downsides of it are there is no on/off button to turn it off or on. You have to hold the play button for 5 seconds for it to go into sleep mode and any button to turn it on with your apple remote. You need to have wireless internet to stream your movies, there's no other way around it. The price is a little high, wish it was maybe like $20 bucks less but the Apple TV is great so I'll personally pay the $100. All in all, it's a great product!!

This is my alternative to using my Ipod to watch movies. It is amazing! Once you have signed on, you simply change to the HDMI channel it is connected to and you are looking at the movies you have downloaded or would like to rent / purchase. Just like looking in the I tunes store on your computer. Works great!

Overall, handy device. I bought in order to not have to use display port so I can use Macbook wireless while watching Apple TV but I have a 1999 Macbook and wireless display won't work unless I download to MP4 format and play through Itunes. That doesn't work for everything so I end up having to connect display port to HDMI which limits mobility. Apparently you have to have a 2000 Macbook or newer for this to work through AirPlay. Also, you will likely have to troubleshoot to keep your remote from playing Itunes on laptop while trying to operate Apple TV device. Can be quite aggravating. Great apps, clear picture and nice sound. They have added a few more apps since I have bought device and can't wait to test them out.

Best decision ever. More useful than a smart tv and cheaper than buying a simple smart tv. Best part is I'm able to stream my brothers high school football games onto my tv by being able to watch my computer screen on my tv. Great device.

this product is great and meets all my expectations. i thought it would be to time consuming to enter words into the search field using the Apple remote but i used an old Bluetooth keyboard that i had with a tablet and it syncs and works just fine. now entering words in the search field are no problem.

Easy to setup and push content from any Apple device to the "big screen." Using with a Epson 5030 projector and a 110" screen. 1080p content looks great. Interesting to note that content of lesser quality (say 720p) looks better on the screen than on my 46" Samsung 8000 series TV.(assuming a dark room)

I bought this when it was 99.00 a few weeks before they dropped the price. What is not in the box is the 20.00 HDMI cord that is needed. What makes this hard to use is the mirroring/streaming you must log into all your iCloud accounts and leave open in order to work, if you do not have iCloud like me, you will end up creating one in order to get this work. It takes me 10 minutes to setup/login each time I want to watch tv. When it's on, it works great. 3 stars because I didn't know about all the accounts that need to be logged in, iTunes & iCloud in order to work.
