We decided to get the 3rd generation Apple TV instead of the 4th generation just to see if we liked it since it was about $100 cheaper, and we LOVE it! Set up was incredibly simple and it's so easy to use. The channels/apps pre loaded on here are awesome. My only complaint is that the remote is so tiny that it tends to get lost in the couch, but other than that it's wonderful and we are very impressed. We will definitely be moving this one to our smaller TV and buying the 4th gen soon for our living room.

This is my 2nd Apple TV. Quality, ease of use and form factor all combine to make this an amazing device. With a few minutes of reading you can easily make this function as a media server and use it in place of a cable for on-demand viewing on many networks often without a need to suscribe.

As usual Apple has turned out another great product. It is fast and easy to use. I love having Netflix, YouTube, etc right at my finger tips. Also I love the airplay feature. It's super quick.

I upgraded from the old 720p version of the Apple TV, purchased for $99. This version has a noticeably more brilliant picture, and it was a worthwhile purchase solely for the ability to stream Netflix in 1080p. I know a new Apple TV is coming soon, but it's worth the new $69 price tag.

Love It. I thank it's way better then the two Roku boxes I used to have got rid of them after buying my first Apple TV a year ago... Better picture faster load time doesn't buffer @ all works very well with my iPad and iPhone. What more can I say!!!!!..... And @ $69.00 its a no brainier.

I bought this when I was looking for a way to steam Netflix. I originally looked at the USB type devices but for a little more money this Apple TV device is much more attractive. It's a snap to set up (you have to register) and offers so much content. I'm very happy with this purchase.

My TV is not smart so this add on it awesome. Hooks in super easy ... seriously just plug and play. It is fast to set up the first time to your wifi and streams great. I love that I can sink my phone to it for a remote or to just load my photos and share with my friends and family.

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my dad, who is using it to view the 9000 photos he has on his laptop. He says he loves it, and that it was a great gift. You know that most apple products are exactly what they are advertised to be, and Apple TV is no different. Another excellent product.

I purchased this for two reasons. It's great to play your iTunes over your home theater system via network with the Apple TV. Sure a lot of your newer receivers let you access your iTunes over a network but those receivers usually don't offer the same iPod-like control over your music. (Marantz and Dennon do NOT) Apple TV lets you chose the playlist,etc. I also got this because it plays HBOgo. This is your basic Apple TV and doesn't have all the bells and whistles but suits my needs just fine.

I bought this as a gift for my husband who had been wanting it since it came out. I use it more since I am at home throughout the day. When he walks in the door I know the remote belongs to him! Haha we both LOVE it! It's soooo easy to use. The set up is user friendly as is the remote!!!

The Apple TV is great and it is compatible with all of my apple products. The only complaint I have about the device is that there is a lag when you use the airplay from my iPad, but other than that it's terrific for my needs.

Works great! Excellent picture and ease of use. Also works well with my Mac on the big screen.

I opted to NOT get the latest Apple TV with the touch pad remote because I want something simple and easy to "click down 3 times to go down 3 items", not have to swipe back and forth and overcorrect. I wanted it for Netflix, Hulu, movies, etc, and this product does that perfectly.

We don't have cable because our cable company is way to expensive so apple TV was a great choice for our Netflix and Hulu that we watch everything on and I can hook up my music and iTunes and it's so small and easy to use

This is my second 3rd gen Apple TV, they are great units. I love being able to watch my netflix on it. Also the airplay feature is very handy if you have something on a Mac or ipad that you want to show ppl. I love playing all my purchased music on the units. They are adding new apps for diff channels almost every other week which is great. The remote is very simple to master & the unit is small & easy to hide. Setup only takes a few mins. I love bing able to sign in with multiple iTunes accounts & switch back & forth between them with ease. These units are expensive compared to what's out there but well worth it especially if you have mac's & ios devices.

We have Samsung televisions and would use the Samsung apps to get to Netflix YouTube various other applications. AppleTV makes things so much easier. I can easily see things that I have purchased in iTunes and scroll thru netflix, abc.com, pbs. Purchased one for the basement and main tv

Apple environment apparently works because more and more people are moving to Apple products. This Apple TV, while it hasn't been really updated in years, is an amazing product. I have two... one for my home theater and one for my regular TV room. I wouldn't trade them for anything else.

I finally upgraded to a decent sized HDTV and, since I don't have cable, decided to get AppleTV, primarily so that I could stream Netflix. For that purpose, it works perfectly. And, if I had other subscriptions (to HuluPlus, various cable add-ons), I presume it would work just as well for those. The only caveat I have is that if the device is plugged in during a power outage, it reverts to the Settings stage, and the only way out is to restore Factory settings - which takes 20-30 minutes and then requires that one reenters all one's WiFi info, Netflix info, etc. Not a big deal, but a pain when it happens two days in a row. I recommend either unplugging AppleTV when not in use, or using a surge protector. Otherwise, it does what it's supposed to, and is delightfully small and shiny.

The Apple TV device is a good product for turning your TV into a SmartTV with the apps that come on the Apple TV. Additionally, the screen mirroring feature lets you project your iPhone or iPad to the TV which can be nice at times. Now that the price is 30% cheaper, it is even better.

I had a Roku before, but gave it to my mom since all of my other products are Apple. Being able to mirror my mobile devices to my TV or stream content from my iPad or iPhone is the main draw. It has all of the basic functionality of the Roku but brings in the added benefit of being compatible with all Apple products. It's definitely a must-have for Apple users. But for non-Apple users, I would go Roku, mainly for cost.
