I'm a loyal Apple Product user - our family has Macs, iPhones, iPads, and a Time Capsule. When we were looking for a way to stream from our devices to our HDTV, it's no wonder we found the AppleTV just what we needed, and it doesn't disappoint. It streams using AirPlay and the wifi connection in your home. Very easy setup. Within 15 minutes, we were streaming from the iPad to the HDTV flawlessly. AppleTV comes with a lot of apps too, with a lot of additional shows to enjoy. Another Plus.

Purchased this Apple TV to connect to one of televisions that does not already have internet access. Set up was easy and now I can easily access Netflix, YouTube, etc on my television without having to connect an HDMI port via my laptop. Content from my iPhone, iPad, and Mac can easily be streamed and mirrored to the television via the Apple TV making it a great device for me. It nice to be looking at something on your phone and then just hit airplay for it to show up on the television.

We got the Apple TV to replace a Roku device. I am so glad we did! Primarily used for MLB.TV, we no longer have the painful game day experience. Games load quickly, you can pause, backup, switch between games with ease and the picture quality is excellent - which was also an issue sometimes with the Roku. Apple TV was easy to setup, we were done in minutes and I can control it with my phone, so if the game is starting and I'm in the kitchen, I can tune in without burning dinner!

Apple TV is easy to setup and easy to use. It works as intended with other Apple products. I have two complaints about the product, otherwise it would be a five-star review. First, it would be nice if there were more apps available and if they could be downloaded like you are able to with iPhone/iPad. I understood this before my purchase, but wish Apple would keep this in mind for future Apple TV products. My other issue is that some apps (streaming video) will go back to a prior menu during the middle of a movie/episode or won't play the selected title at all. I'm not sure if this is the Apple TV or the selected app. Overall, this is good product that operates easily and as designed for the most part.

Nothing bad to say about it. Works great. Very simple to use and set up. Integrates with other Apple products seamlessly.

I use the WatchESPN app for basketball and football games out of market. Chromecast continuously lost connection. AppleTV was easy to set up, the WatchESPN app is native, the picture is HD with no need to stretch or zoom and the connection was perfect. The Itunes configuration makes outdoor movie nights easy as it has HDMI and optical Audio connections. In addition, the movie apps, ability to mirror iphone, ipad, etc make this my best Best Buy purchase this year..

I was a bit skeptical about purchasing this product as I have satellite TV. But I found that Apple TV is actually a convenient way to watch what I want, when I want. And the picture is clear. I also like having the options of upgrading as to what I want to watch whereas those options are not available through satellite or cable. For instance, Tennis Channel offers a subscription to Tennis Channel Plus so that you can watch multiple matches live and choose what you want.

The Apple TV is awesome. Easy to setup and use. The remote is tiny so make sure you have a safe place to store it.

This is a practical solution for any person. If you haven't decided to cut your cable subscription, this may be your deciding factor. Thousands of media sources to choose from. The user interface is easy to navigate. Works seemlessly with your other apple products (macbook pro, ipad, iphone, etc). Very easy to operate and navigate. It's neatly designed and doesn't add any clutter to your entertainment space. A good buy, whether you've cut your cable or haven't.

I'm a fan of Apple products, so I figured I would add this to my home to allow for ease of use between my Apple devices. The thing I like the most is that I can pull up media on my iPhone or iPad and stream it directly to my Apple TV using AirPlay. This is nice considering the amount of apps available are limited. I feel like there's room for improvement in terms of allowing additional apps to be downloaded and installed, but overall a good value for the price!

Can't believe it took me this long to get AppleTV! Completely exceeds expectations. So easy to set up and use.

I own both the Apple TV and a Roku 2. For an everyday device to watch Netflix, listen to Pandora, Stream online radio the Toku is far superior. The Roku remote is easier to use and it has a better menus structure. the Roku also has a MUCH wider selection of apps to choose from. I bought the Apple TV because I allows me to very easily and wirelessly use my large screen tv as a display for my Mac. The Roku can do this but it is more complicated and doesn't work as well. Both devices are great products and serve their purposes well. I don't think you can go wrong with either. That said.. If you just want to watch and listen to streaming media stick with the Roku.

Got this so I could give up one of my set-top boxes. Paid for itself in a year. Works well. I especially like using it for airplay from my iPhone or iPad. Supports digital audio too. It's great for travel and frees from limitations of in-room cable. But if hotel wifi has a log-in, it can get tricky but can be done. Google "using apple tv in hotel room" for instructions. In some cases, it's better just to have an HDMI cable from your laptop to the TV.

The Apple TV is the best addition you can make to a TV. It works seamlessly out of the box and has all of the best apps loaded automatically. I've helped family set up Roku boxes and they are such a pain compared to the Apple TV. Bought it to support HBO Now and the app works great. Easy to use out of the box with the remote or with the remote app for iPhone or iPad. Easy for beginners and great for everyone looking to add some apps to their TV.

This little Apple TV rocks! It's small and sleek and is always a conversation piece in the house. I save money on no cable or dish tv. Just watch my shows on netflix or rent ones on the many options it provides. I really like the free remote app with our iPhone and iPad, way better than taking forever searching for something. So much eaiser to type on phone. Also love that I can see our photos and videos on the tv, very easy to show off to family.

What can I say? Apple product that works out of the box and does exactly what it says it will do. I have interfaces for Netflix and HBO Go on other systems, but prefer Apple's for ease of use and snappier functionality. I have a Google Chromecast and prefer the Apple TV for the apps they share, although Chromecast does win out on content. Four stars because it doesn't include an HDMI cable and I did have some issues while mirroring playback on a website. It disconnected anytime a commercial played. Needs more built in music content (i.e. Spotify, Pandora, etc.), although I realize they don't want competition with their own Beats program.

Very pleased with my AppleTV. Easy to use and navigate. Only downfall is you have to have a separate account or cable contract to access some of the in-app programs. You can use your Apple Mac computers to watch something on your computer and then use AirPlay to watch it on your big screen TV through your appleTV. I cannot wait for AppleTV to start offering live cable programming. That is why I went ahead and got my AppleTV now.

I love Apple TV! We use it for Netflix and to watch our Stars games on NHL Gamecenter. A lot more affordable option when DirectTV wants to charge us an extra $70 a month for just one channel we wanted. Easy to setup, you can use your WiFi or Ethernet cable. Now that the new Apple TV came out, the price on this has dropped, making it a no brainer. We will be getting a couple more of these for the other rooms with TVs.

Works flawlessly with my Samsung TV n user friendly n super easy to setup, no PhD required...lol
