The AppleTV is great for whenever you have a spare day to catch up on shows you may have missed and also works with you laptop to stream music directly from your TV!! How great is that? You have it all in this one small box!

I bought this as a Christmas present for my son, who has his ipod full of movies. Now the entire family can enjoy the movies on the tv, plus his older brother can utilize it also! Double bonus for us! Very user friendly.

Easy to install and oh so convenient. I stream all my videos now with my iPad and Apple TV. Have not used my dvd player since. This is my second one. Had one in my living room and decided to get a second one for my bedroom.

I wasn't sure at first that I really need this, but now that I have it I really like it. Easy to set up and use. Good for watching HBOnow, Netflix, etc, but also makes it easier to watch home video and view pics from your TV.

This is my third Apple TV. It comes with plenty of pre install apps. I like the ability to display photos, movies, and my screen from my iPhone, iPad, and iPod. The remote on my Apple Watch works great with the Apple TV.

Wish I could give it 6 stars. Its the best product in our home theater. Connects to everything we need to watch our shows or movies. Truly a game changer, got rid of cable because of the apps and connectivity of the Apple TV.

Love being able to mirror my devices to the TV makes it easy watching movies and more. Has many options to watch from news to HBO showtime and things for the kids. You can also access your iTunes songs and listen to the radio.

I was sick of the money I was wasting on directv so I ripped out their 9 pieces of equipment and went with this. The two downsides is nfl football or lack there of and the fact that some network apps still require a cable provider. Moving soon but plan to get basic cable at next local to combat that issue. Quality of picture is amazing.

This is my second receiver bought from Best Buy. We enjoy listening to our iTunes music. It was very easy to set up and we have had no problems with the adapter. We also use it for the MLB Network to enjoy our favorite Teams.

I bought this because of the lowered price. It does everything I expect it to and it works well. My one gripe is that it's awfully cluttered with different "channels" but that's more a personal preference than anything else.

Love love! Bought both this and the roku! Never even open the roku box that how awesome it is!!! Now with the new Apple TV out, Roku has nothing on it! And if you have more apple product the party gets even better! GET IT

Never had a problem. This is actually my second Apple TV so I can use in multiple rooms without moving it. Though now that I've seen what the new one will be able to do, I'm going to want one of those once it is released.

Apple TV does two main things: 1) aggregates sources of streaming content (Netflix, Hulu, iTunes, podcasts, radio, network and premium subscription TV, etc.), and 2) allows you to wirelessly mirror your Mac, iPhone or iPad to your TV screen (AirPlay). I use AirPlay all the time for watching classes online, editing photos on my Mac laptop and seeing the results simultaneously on the big HDTV screen...the I love this feature. Drawbacks: while Apple TV contains links to many content providers, it doesn't yet have agreements with Amazon or Time Warner Cable - huge gaps in my opinion. While I can use AirPlay to mirror my content from my Mac or iPhone if I want Amazon, I'm still out of luck with all the content I pay for through Time Warner. Hopefully that will be addressed soon. For me, the AirPlay feature more than makes up for this at this point. I still recommend but it falls short of 5 stars until this is addressed.

Apple TV is a perfect fit for our family! Allows one stop shopping for a nighttime of entertainment, houses our movies music YouTube netflix all together for seem less transitioning to find all our family entertainment needs!

Bought this for multiple reasons: 1. I had an older non smart tv that I wanted Netflix on. 2. Wanted to be able to watch my iTunes movies directly. 3. Wanted to mirror my iPad on the tv. This allowed all these features plus.

The Apple TV connection has been a great addition to our entertainment. It is easy to use and provides a large number of options for either listening to iTunes, iPad media, or direct access to various other internet programs.

Let me first say that Best Buy is in no way responsible for this rating. OK, now that we have that out of the way, on to the review. Pros: Easy to set up and use. Cool remote. Works well, but not for my needs. Cons: See below for details- this may or may not be a problem for most users. It is a huge problem for me and I have already sold it after less than a month of owning with it. I had already passed the return period before I noticed these problems exist. Here's the deal- I own 2 MacBooks, a Mac Mini, and an iPhone. I decided that it would be nice to mirror the MacBooks to our big screen, thus the reason for purchase. Setup of the Apple TV was easy. I tried to mirror each computer and the phone and all of this worked as expected and looked pretty good- I was pleasantly surprised. So, where's the cons you ask? The problem that I ran in to is that while the wife is mirroring from her laptop, I cannot watch YouTube or pull up my iTunes music and video libraries on ANY other Apple product in my home. If I attempt to do this, the ATV kicks her off and requires her computer to be rebooted before she can reconnect. Once she is kicked off, the sound (but not video) from my computer/phone comes through the ATV even though I am not in any way connected to it, either wirelessly or hardwired. I even suffered the same issue on an ethernet connected Mac Mini with the wifi turned OFF. This was a big problem for me because I expect to be able to use my other Apple products ,as I see fit, while the ATV is in use. Here's the bottom line. It's great if you are mirroring from one Mac and that is all you are doing. If you own several Mac products and want to watch a video or listen to iTunes on a different Mac while your significant other is mirroring to the ATV, you WILL NOT be happy, nor will your S.O. when you keep forcing them to reboot their computer. I enjoy all of my Apple products but the ATV was a HUGE disappointment for me, but It may work out great for you. 5 Stars in a single Mac household. 2 Stars in my multi Mac household.

I've had the Apple TV since Christmas and it was very easy to install. Even someone who is a non-technical person would be able to install it without any issues. The interface is very simple and the layout is easy to understand. I even have the capability to control it from my iPhone and view content through my phone via airplay which is very convenient. The device is very small, does not take up much space and the sleek design is very nice. My only downfall is that there is not a wide selection of apps like the Roku that I used to have.
