This is a good addition to your apple family if you have apple products. It's not the best on the market but it does what it is suppose to do. Nice compact and easy to setup.

Purchased Apple TV for my daughter. She has a TV in her room but we have no cable or satellite access. She has a Mac Pro computer and is able to stream TV from her computer wirelessly to the TV. She also uses it to mirror what is on her computer and iphone to her TV. Apple TV also has many apps that allow her to stream programs and movies from Netflix, Hulu+ and HBO on the Go with out the use of her computer.

This is my second AppleTv. I got tired of moving the first one from one room to another and when I found a pre-owned one for a discount, I decided to purchase it spontaneously while I was at the store. If you own other Apple products; MacBook, iPad, iPodTouch, iPhone then this device will fit nicely with what you already have. The apps on it are okay. It does include Netflix and Hulu, so you can easily add your subscriptions onto this device. It is also nice as an airplay device. You can connect to your iTunes library over your local network and play music through it. The movies/tv shows available to rent/purchase through Apple are pretty up to date with what you will see on most other devices. The only negative I have encountered so far is that the device sometimes will have difficulty connecting to a wifi network. Even though the device doesn't move, sometimes I have had to go through the network setup in order to reconnect to my netowrk, when all other decvices on the network are still working fine. This also can lead to very slow downloads. Sometimes movies will take an hour to download before you can begin playback. I do not have a slow internet connection and the use of the word "slow" is in comparison to downloading content through other devices I have such as Xbox 360, Sony TVs or just a computer/tablet. If you do not own any other Apple devices, there is no reason to not consider Roku or Chromecast or some other device.

Don't know why, but for some reason I had waited to get this product. We recently purchased a new 60" tv and it was finally time. We got it. It did everything I hoped it would and just what I thought it would. We love watching movies from our iPad, iPhone, etc. My kids love the other features. It is cool to be able to look at pictures and videos and share them with family when they're over. Great product!

Purchased with new LED TV for living room to stream movies, and other media connect with Mac computer, iPad and iPhone. Extremely easy to install and use. 1080p picture quality and excellent sound are a plus. It is amazing to stream music from my wife's or my Mac mini to the home theater system in the living room. Interfaces with additional secure content for our grandchildren through our cable TV provider. Was so impressed with the unit that we acquired a second Apple - TV for the family room. In this way we can be streaming media content in more than one room at a time. Unit in living room is connected directly to the router and the family room unit is connected wirelessly. There is no difference in picture quality, speed or content between the two connection methods. Considering buying a third Apple - TV for the bedroom! Our middle son has a similar device that uses Android and PC units. The Apple product offers equal content, but is easier to use.

This is a great product. I was looking for a cord to plug the iPad into the TV to watch and the salesperson recommended Apple TV. So glad she did. This product is great and is so easy to use. The whole family loves it. It's easy to change TVs also since it's just an HDMI cord to the TV. We even take it on vacation with us.

Picked up the 3rd one for our house. It's great to use for everything, minus Prime Video. I use them across the house to run my iTunes library so music can play amongst tv's and speakers in our place. Very nice to have. Also, it's very nice to use instead of gaming console...especially when you have annoying friends who send you party requests on Xbox live when you're trying to watch Netflix...

This item is so easy to use compared to other streaming devices. I love the fact that it pairs up with other apple devices so seemlessly. I would definitely recommend it to people who are considering getting a roku or other streaming device but already have apple devices in the house. The setup is easy, and using it is a breeze, no frills experience that I definitely expect from an apple product.

Very good at showing iPhone content onto TV; my main need. Carry it to different meetings, can connect to a large display and control what I show, or simply stream to it. The variety of programming in impressive, and people who want those services will be well-served. Lots of free content, very decent quality.

The Apple TV is an excellent device for streaming HD content from the web to your HDTV. It says High-End in every aspect of its performance with the notable exception of the unresponsive, cheap-feeling remote control it comes with, which you have to use extensively to set up the content. The fact it does not prompt you to control it using your iOS or Mac device (which it pairs with using AirTime), is a real miss. Beyond that, however, Apple TV, and devices like it, will only get better as more services are decoupled from Cable Contracts, as HBO go is rumoured to be doing this year.

My husband and I love this product! We used to purchase blu-ray movies and now we purchase movies through iTunes, which means we don't need to store those CDs and cases anymore! As with any apple product, exceptionally easy to use and set up. Netflix, Hulu Plus and HBO Go are all also awesome perks to the system. Air play is another great feature so we can mirror any of our apple products (iPhones, iPads, iMac) to our TV. If it does buffer, which is extremely rare, it only buffers before starting a movie preview on iTunes or immediately after purchasing a movie (never while playing). Recommend to all, great picture quality as well! I feel like I could cancel cable since we purchased this), although I am sure we won't . Still Love it!

This is a great way to get NETFLIX; YOUTUBE and many more applications to run right through your TV! EASY to use...just take out of the box...plug into the wall...Put in your WIFI password...and the system pretty much does the rest! (it's totally wireless) Then, when you want to use it....just switch input using your tv remote to HDMI2 and you're in! AWESOME CLARITY- LOOKS LIKE IT'S HD!!!

Apple lowered the price of these devices to promote HBO, however, you do not have to purchase HBO to use this device. This is perfect if you want to extend your iTunes library and use online apps to access content. I love the Apple TV and you can use multiple units in the same house. This is especially nice if you have Netflix and high-speed internet. Easy to set up, and very easy to use.

The Apple TV is Apple's TV box. If is made to compete with Fire TV, Roku, Chromecast, and countless other internet streaming TV boxes. And it does that well. Plus, if you have an iOS device, or a Mac, you can use Airplay to stream to your TV. There are only two downsides with Apple TV. It's 2 years old now, having come out in 2013, and it could use an app store to download more streaming apps, such as Prime video. Overall though, awesome box. If you want a TV streaming box set, and you already have money invested into iTunes, then Apple TV is a good choice for you.

Love the Apple TV .YouTube, HBO on the GO etc and pairing with phones and tablets.

The Apple TV is great for watching iTunes content on TV, as well as has a simple, clean, and easy to use interface. The interface is "smoother" than the Roku, although the Roku has more channels than the Apple TV. The Apple TV has some good solid free channels though, as well as iTunes content access and AirPlay make it extremely handy to use. We've already gotten plenty of use out of it.
