No Cable Love Apple TV

However, AppleTV has contracts with other providers (like HBO Now) and I can hook my computer up to apple tv and stream the images and sound from my laptop to my tv.

Great Little TV Box

You can access ITunes (of course!) as well as programs such as Netflix etc. As mentioned, using text (searching You Tube etc.) is a bit tedious, but tolerable. The remote is small and takes a bit of getting used to using. Mirroring and Air Time are really nice features if you have other Apple products (Ipad, Ipod, Iphone) etc. The unit set up very easily, works without a hitch and takes up little space. It's a nice addition to my entertainment.

For the Cable Cutter

We now have three Apple TV's and can watch most anything we want in any room of the house. I keep this one as a portable option. TV outside, TV in the basement, TV on the porch. Wish Apple would update it, but still use it everyday.
