We got this to cut cable and start streaming our tv. We use Plex as well and this thing will do it all. Wish the remotes were a little bigger but nothing a 3D printer can’t fix :)

Decided not to pay for cable TV anymore. I chose Apple TV as an option for watching Playstation Vue and channels inclued with my internet provider. I like the options provided by Apple TV. Beind able to extending my laptop's display on the big screen is a bonus for me. The remote is supposed to perform as a universal remote. For some reason, it doesn't always turn the TV off and on. This is my only complaint.

Giving this 5 stars since it met the requirements I was looking for. Improve tv image quality, access to apps ( Youtube TV,DAZN, ESPN +, Hulu, Netlfix,Disney +, youtube) and able to connect audio via bluetooth to a portable Harmon Kardon speaker. Very smooth compatibility with air pods, connect easy to isolate the sound directly to airpods when needed. I do wish the controller had buttons to select/move and not only via a touchpad, sometimes it can be difficult to navigate where you want to fast forward or rewind a show with accuracy.

this was a gift for my wife. her old Apple TV (1st Gen) was at end of life. We could not be happier with the speed and the new interface. would buy again if I needed a 2nd unit.

I have 3 of the first generation Apple Tvs so I’m familiar with it all. I’m a big Apple fan. Love that I can quickly bring my cell phone screen up using AirPlay.. This is my first one where it has 32 drive space which I don’t really have the patience to find out what that’s for yet but... I digress.. LOL It’s also the first one I’ve had where my Bluetooth headphones can connect. This is really handy if you sleep with someone who is a light sleeper and complains like a BIG BABY about the noise of me watching tv before bed. I wish this was invented years ago I would’ve enjoyed my shows more if I didn’t have to hear a thousand hours of how the tv was keeping this INSANE PERSON awake. Kidding. (Actually not really but I’m trying to sound nicer) It’s a great feature and in fact it’s really great to have in the room with my treadmill because now I don’t have to have the tv so loud to compensate for the noise while on the machine. Cranky pants isn’t the issue in there.. just trying to hear it is the issue. Don’t forget bed time and not waking up Mrs Cranky pants.. that’s awesome. It’s so much cheaper than therapy or a divorce attorney so for bed time I highly recommend the headphones. BUT THAT REMOTE.... Oh my Good God it REALLY BITES! The top 1/3 of the remote is a touch activated track pad where you slide your finger around similar to a laptop mouse pad. It has no border around the edges so if you grab it wrong, next thing you know, you are 40 minutes ahead on your show or totally back to the main menu and have to find what the heck you were watching or some other stupid thing. I keep my remote next to me in bed by my pillow and it is constantly being accidentally touched by me or one of my 2 dogs. Thank God cranky pants isn’t next to me any more because she would be touching it too and giving more reason to make me INSANE. We sleep in separate rooms now so I don’t have to worry. Hahahahaha. I still recommend the device, (and the separate bedrooms for your spouse) but I am going to see if the old remote works on it because this one is horrible.

Apple is all about the experience and the AppleTV does not disappoint. It's my home hub. I can control my lights and equipment. The ease of use is astounding. I can ask Siri on my phone to play shows on the tv and it just works! I think the greatest of all is that I only need ONE remote! My AppleTV remote is the only included-with-purchase remote that controls my tv, the AppleTV, and my soundbar all thru self programming! Apple makes it easy to be a fan of Apple. Forever in love. It's better than the Roku SmartTV itself. So intuitive.

It works great!!! Easy to setup and love the fact you can download different movie apps!!! The only thing I don’t like is the remote. To touchy. Frustrating sliding the top of the remote like on a laptop. It’s pretty sensitive. That’s really my only complaint!!!

I’ve finally got Fiber in my area and have decided to move to streaming and cut out Dish Network. I’ve trialed both ATT TV and Sling so far. The Apple TV works flawlessly. I wont be using for any games or other applications. It will be used for streaming. It works well with Netflix as well. I haven’t started my Apple TV+ trial yet. The remote does take some getting used to but i think I’ve mastered it pretty well. I’ve paired it with my TV to able to control volume as well. I think I’m going to go with a Chromecast for one of my other TV. Less expensive and will meet my needs.

Purchased this to give our family extra flexibility in watching shows, Netflix, Hulu, or sports around the house. The new remote with Siri and the added ability to use your iPhone or iPad via Bluetooth is a fantastic feature that cuts down on time entering passwords or searching for shows.

Very ease to use. Works great. I can easily stream korean/asian/american shows. Connects to my iphone smoothly. There were few times when apps glitches but otherwise great product.

The main purpose for this device for me was to have a way to screen cast from my cell phone to my older (not smart) TV. It works flawlessly for that. Also have downloaded several apps to it and they all work as expected as well. It’s more expensive than it should be but it’s apple, you pay for the name but it work so....I’ll pay a little more on the device to save the headache of a chromecast/fire stick/roku. Some how over the past couple years I’ve ended up with all of them and the Apple TV works the best for me.

No other streaming device can compete with the Apple TV. Games, apps, all of your streaming channels and all of your iTunes purchases all in one small box!

Oh my goodness this is so awesome and the picture quality is more than 5 stars and the remote is a bonus and it works smoothly.

I love the Apple TV. 32 GB is enough for me to download the apps I like and all of my videos. The picture quality is great. I have no interruption with streaming.

I upgraded from my old Apple TV hoping it would be worth the upgrade and it was. Great OS, ease of use, and consistently speedy and fun to use.

So my purpose of buying Apple TV is to use it for training in our office. Before, we use to plug in our Iphone/ipad to show on TV / Projector our contents. Now, it's sooooo much easier to share. Just press connect and we're all set. This product is so easy to use a caveman can use it. =) Well priced and packed with full of functionalities. I think every office should have this.

It works well. The remote has a little learning curve and can be kind of touchy. The picture quality is excellent and it’s nice to mirror your iPhone to the tv.

Love all the options, channels, and accessible apps! Takes a little time to get use to the remote ...it has a touch mouse pad area that operates functions.

I was hesitant spending this much on a streaming device, but I don’t regret it at all. It has all the simplicity and functionality you expect from Apple. Everything always works, it never crashes, and the interface is beautiful. Plus, you can connect to iCloud, and the pictures and videos from your phone are easily accessible. It brings watching home videos and looking at pictures to a whole new level. My family loves this device. You can always play some really cool games on it. I was surprised how well this little thing handled some pretty detailed games.
