    I bought this adapter initially because i didn't like that the Macbook doesn't have a single usb port. And what's also neat is that the adapter still has a c-port to charge the macbook while i have a usb and hdmi port hooked up. Since it only has one usb port i did buy an extra usb port hub to have more than just 1 usb connection. I have yet to use the HDMI function on it since i have my Apple TV to use the Airplay, so i don't need the HDMI port, only to charge my Macbook and to use the usb connection to charge my phone or tablet. I love how it's small and sleek, and SUPER light, it works great! Definitely recommend it if you need to charge your phone or iPad while using the Macbook, or else there's just no way you would do it without this adapter.
