It is very expensive for what it does, but it does exactly what it is suppose to do.

Of course-if it's Apple...it tends to be expensive. I have a macbook, but would love to charge my iphone while using the macbook. This adapter does the trick, also allows me to plug in a hmdi cord and another special cord. It seems a little expensive, but it does the job well.

This adapter almost seems like a necessity for the new MacBook. It allows you to connect to an external display via HDMI and gives you a common USB port to work with. This adapter has power pass through unlike the 3rd party adapter so you are able to charge your MacBook while using the adapter.

I was concerned when i first purchased my MacBook, just one usb-type c plug and all, but this adapter works great and it really isn't that big, so I have to say it fits my needs. I will say that if you need to plug in multiple items at once, then this might not be the one for you.

I got this in hopes that it would work as a USB, HDMI and USB-C adapter that would all work from a single USB-C port. It works as described but will not do pass through USB-C charging. Come to find out that HP has disabled all charging except when using their USB-C charger. HP's lack of trust in other USB-C chargers is not this devices fault.

This is an absolute must if you are planning to use your MacBooks with any “dated” technology like thumb drives or even to plug your iPhone into the computer. Little pricey for something that should be deemed necessary, but that’s where the peices fall.

This one is a no brainer for upgrading to USB-C only computers. The hdmi port is perfect for plugging in with any monitor and the classic USB is handy as well. They need more spacing between them though as sometime a wider jump drive can prohibit the use of both simultaneously. Very durable and reliable.

this is a must have accessory for the new Macbook so you can connect to a second monitor or tv. I took it on a visit to my mom and was able to stream movies to her tv which she loved! also covers the gap between the new usb and standard usb and charging, very useful

I have been looking for a perfect usb-c hub for a long time, and I still came back to this one. All other company's product heats up pretty quickly. This is a reliable hub for HDMI and all other stuff. The color fits the apple laptop charger.

I am a litle torn by this dongle. On one hand it works well. But carrying one around should not be required given that hdmi is such a common standard. However, I love the kepbaord and the usability of the 2017 Macbook Pros. Like many Apple products, the user experience is better than the specs.

Works exactly as it should with no need to do anything other than plug it in. It's exactly what you expect Apple to make for their products. It may cost more than most, but you're paying for knowing it is flawless and works easily.

With the new MacBooks, everything is USB-C connections. Everyone knows that. Obviously, it's a necessity because you cannot use any other plugs except for the USB-C. But this adaptor works! Before purchasing this adaptor, I went to BB and played with the new MacBook pro and read the adaptor's reviews online. Most of the reviews I read were negative - external monitor flickers because of the HDMI connection, USB doesn't work, etc. But I took a gamble and bought it anyway instead of buying a different brand. Once I plugged it in, there was a firmware update and viola!!! It works. Plugged it to my external monitor (Samsung/HDMI connection ) and it works like a charm. I used the other two connections, USB and the USB-C, all three works at the same time with no lags, no issues. Since you need an adaptor to plug in the rest of your cables, this is a must-have accessory, It sucks that I have to bring this with me every time I bring my laptop for travel. It's another thing that I need to worry about not losing it. I also think that this item is price too much. Come on Apple, we're already suckers for buying your latest and greatest MacBook Pro. No need to overprice another must-have accessory. In any case, this item works. Hopefully it doesn't break. If so, I'm returning this if it's within in the warranty period. Good luck folks!

Essential accessory to hook your USB-C only devices up to a USB or HDMI device. Also has USB-C port so you can charge your device while using it. Love the all-in-one instead of having a different connector for each device.

I wasn't sure if I was going to need this, but with the Apple Proprietary everything, this has come in handy. glad that this was a recommended accessory, and glad that I purchased it. reasonably priced as an Apple product.

The adapter works well. You do have to download some software, but it's easy to do with clear instructions. I'm not crazy about needing adapters for everything, but since it's necessary, I'm happy that there are no issues.

frustrating that they changed all the ports on the newest model. This device, unfortunately, is a must have. Not the devices fault though - 4 stars, not 5 because of apple... why they keep messing with ports, chargers, etc, other than to make more money form you is beyond me!

Works great, just plug in your HDMI cable in and then the adapter into your laptop and you can watch youtube on a bigger screen. Different sizes for different uses. Recommend for anyone who likes to project their screen

Overall really good product. I purchased this along with my MacBook. Gives me the ability to use flash drives and offers the hdmi input. I usually use the hdmi connected to my tv that way I can have a bigger display.

Super simple and reliable adapter. I’ve been very happy with the ease of use when conn caring external displays and external devices. I use this as a simple laptop “dock” with my keyboard, mouse and 4K monitor.
