Purchased to replace a similar generic product. The first one didn't work so had to return for a replacement. However this didn't surprise me after reading other reviews. The second one works as expected. If my laptop goes complexly asleep at times I have to reboot to get my external monitor working. This adapter doesn't reinitiate when unplugged leading to the reboot.

Was issued the VGA version of this adapter with a standard HD monitor. I preferred to use my own pair of 2k resolution monitors, which do not even have VGA connections. While DisplayPort would be the preferred connection (allows audio), this HDMI adapter easily handles the resolution I use.

This device provides easy access to USB and HDMI ports via the USB-C (Thunderbolt) port on my MacBook Pro. I also can charge via the USB-C port on the adapter. This device works perfectly and does not get hot like a device I previously tried. I keep it handy all the time.

Had to spend but didn’t regret as this is required to charge, cast using hdmi, usb usage at the same time and why Apple because I spent 2000$ on MacBook and didn’t want to compromise the brand for just 40$ difference when compared with after market products

Although the item is really good. But it is costly compared to similar product out there in market

Does the job and can charge at the same time. It would have been nice if the USB port and HDMI was on the MacBook already, but as it isn't this is what you need. To be honest I've had my new MacBook for a couple of months now and I haven't even used this lead yet But I'm sure it'll be useful in the future.

I have a newer camera which can transfer pics over wifi but not video. At the time I didn't have a desktop with a USB or microchip plug to transfer the videos I recorded. So they were forever stuck on the camera until I purchased this for my iPad mini 4. It works great and has other plugs. Love it

This is great for the new macbook pro because there arent any USB or HDMI ports connected to the lap top when you purchase the original. I'd recommend this to anyone wanting to connect USB ports or HDMI ports which I use for my business on a daily basis.

Aside from the questioning of Macs new C ports and having to buy all sort of connectors, this item works perfectly fine. There's also a perfectly feasible explanation as to why Mac switched to only one type of port, so it's not like I'm complaining about that in any way.

This is exactly what I needed to hook up my iPad to my televisions and be able to do work in front of people off the iPad. I was familiar with the configuration of how to hook it up and it seems sturdier than the former connection with the lightning connector

Great little adapter with all the plugs you need (hdmi, USB, and oneto charge your laptop at the same time). A little bulky but it's slim at the same time for the number of ports it has. Biggest downfall is not the port but the Mac itself requires a high quality hdmi or else the tv will show a pink hue when it protects the screen. Otherwise great adapter

Nice design, good adapter and I didn't know about this product, but Oscar, from Millenia Store, in Orlando, FL, told me everything and explained how to use. He saved me, because I use a lot of HDMI and I didn't know the new Mac's don't have anymore. Thank You Oscar to help my day!!!

This adapter lets me connect my MacBook Pro witht USB-c port to HDMI at my Tv and also connecting a standard USB device and USB -c charging cable. It is a wonderful device for me with my new MacBook Pro that I just purchased.

Not everyone has migrated to the thunderbolt yet. So, in the meantime, pick up this handy little adapter to use HDMI and USBs effortlessly. I did not buy the larger multi port adapter because I only needed the hdmi and usb for school. This one is smaller and more handy.

I haven't had to use it a whole lot but I can see where a time will come when having the single usb-c port isn't going to cut it. It's nice to have the option if I need to go HDMI or USB. Small and portable component too. I do think that it's a bit overpriced at $69.

I bought this for my daughter... She and her MacBook was heading to college as a freshman. Everything was great and she had no complain about it. I'm using a different USB-C hub and it has a longer cord (too long).... I wish I bought this apple USB-C hub instead.

Fantastic quality but the only downside is the high price. Though I will say, Apple products have never failed me and I still own working adapters and cables from previous generations. That being said, you do get what you pay for. Buy this one time or pay for a cheap knock off multiple times. It’s your choice.

Bought the Apple Pro and then found that it doesn’t have a USB port. Now must use this adapter for everything I need to plug into it..card reader, external disk, phone charger, mouse charger, etc, etc. The adapter works great, just wish it weren’t necessary.

I needed this to use with my new computer to print things, stream on my tv and back up my hard drive. The connection with the new computer is not usb but usb-c. All my other stuff is old so now I can keep using them and not have to buy all new things.

Bought this for my new 2016 MacBook Pro with touch bar . In order to connect to my Dell monitor , bought this adapter. Be aware , there maybe a OS bug . After I connect more than 3 dangles to my MacBook Pro , it looks like there is conflict with WIFI driver. The WIFI connection will be automatically dropped . Is there any one has same issue?
