    its a shame I keep having to purchase different adapters to keep up with apple. but with that being ssaid, there are no issues with the adapter and it works as advertised

    Purchased an "off brand" adapter first to save a few bucks. Big mistake. Went with this one and couldn't be happier. You can tell by the feel of this that the quality is superior.

    I tried one other adapter but my external drive kept turning off due to not getting enough power. This one from Apple has worked perfectly and has not given me any issues.
