Bought it for the external Apple USB hard drive because the other 3rd party adapter would work with the hard drive. This one worked like a charm.

The cord seems sturdy enough for it not to crack life regular iPhone cables. It is a decent size and not too long. I've had it for 8 months and still works and looks like new

I purchased this in order to attach an Amp/DAC to my iPad Air 5th Gen. Unfortunately this is the only way Apple users can actually listen to Apple’s High Res Music with some Amp?DACs. I looked to see if there were others in the marketplace that could take the place of this dongle and only came up with one, the reviews were terrible. Decided to stay in the Apple line of products.

I got this because I have a (gasp!) iPhone 7 that I need to hook up to my new Mac book pro and the port is different on the Pro. I don't like backing stuff up to the cloud so I needed this cord to back up my phone my computer. I don't like that apple keeps changing their ports, but this cord fixed that for me. It's just a little annoying to have it always hanging off the side of my computer or searching for it when I've taken it off. It works as it's supposed to work though and if you're in need of hooking the old timer's phones up to your new Mac product, this is definitely the cord for you.

It feels a lot sturdier than I thought! Always keep it in my bag. It’s a quick and seamless solution to have a USB port on a Mac. Never have any problems with it. Plug and go!
