    This dongle works great as an adapter to the old style USB connectors. It is affordable and easy to use -- so easy, in fact, that I use two of them at the same time.

    Works to connect Apple Superdrive to MacBook Pro

    I had to get this to connect an Apple Superdrive to my new MacBook Pro 13 M1. The Superdrive would not work when connected to a Caldigit TS3 dock. The Superdrive will only work with a passive USB-C to USB adapter. I had success getting my Apple Superdrive to work with my MacBook Pro using this adapter.

    Worked as it should and reasonably priced. I use this adapter to connect an external HDD to my MacBook, and it does the trick. No complaints at all.

    I'm still a PC gal! However, the adapter is handy when I need to use my iPad to connect to Apple devices at work. It is easy to carry around and to use.

    Got this adapter in order to be able to use a portable back up battery pack. Just use a USB A (male) to USB A (male) cable to connect to the battery pack to the adapter end (USB A female), the you can connect the USB C end of the adapter to your new iPad or any other device. That adapter is very durable and should last you a long time thru heavy use.
