    It works great. I needed so I could connect a disc drive for a minute to my new MacBook. Annoying that Apple did away with the USB port but didn't include an adapter or tell me I needed one. Neither did bestbuy. I bought the computer, took it home, no USB, way to load software I needed and had to go back to Best Buy for the perky adapter. Annoying. So yes it works still annoyed.

    Nowadays with everything moving to USB-C a dongle is going to be needed for our older devices. This one does the trick and there are others at a cheaper price but I had a discount so I just went with this one. Works well with my iPad Pro and new MacBook Pro.

    Really happy with this purchase. With the new and updated format of Apple laptop using USB-C you will definitely need this adaptor if you have any original USB plugs. I still have a couple external hard drives that use the original style USB plugs. I’d be dead in the water without this adapter. Buy it! You’ll need it and love it!
