This product works well and I use it to connect an Apple CD drive to my MacBook Pro with M1 chip. I would rather have the pricier Apple adapter than a cheap generic brand.

Really I think there should be at least one of these in the box with the new Macbook. Since there isn't and you're likely to have older USB products you still want to use you'll need one of these. Nice design and works well but really should be free with the Macbook IMHO.

GREAT connection. Does the job perfectly. Take your legacy USB A devices and adapt them to plug into USB C!

Having purchased this adapter for our new MacBook, we were pleased that it worked immediately and with no setup involved. The price is a bit much, but we have discovered with Apple products, it is best to use Apple accessories. We have had some bad experiences in the past with our iPhones and non-Apple chargers. This purchase worked precisely as described and desired.

Just what I needed for my new MacBook Pro. My MacBook Pro only comes with 2 USB-C ports and a 3.5mm headphone port. I needed my flash drive for school and this will connect to the USB-C port on my laptop and I just plug in my USB device to the other side. It looks like my laptop has a little tail when I use it but it comes in handy.

Typical apple product, you pay so you can trust that it won’t fry your flash drive. Many cheaper, just as functional adapters can be found, however, they didn’t match with the rest of my Apple stuff…

I was right when I chose this adapter for my Macbook Pro 2017. The new Macbook Pro only has USB-C ports and this is a problem when you want to connect your devices that don't have the USB-C. With this adapter I was able to connect my camera, external hard drive, usb,.. This is a must have adapter when you buy the latest Macbook models.

It definitely did what it was meant to do, haven’t had any issues as of yet.

This adaptor is essential to have if you have older items to use with your new laptops or items with USB-C and not the older or normal USB sockets. With this attachment, I can connect my printers, external DVD Drives and flash drives etc. Its essential I would say. Thank you.

Subsequent to this I got some cableless adapters but their problem is that they place more strain on the USB C plug in the computer: using this adapter allows a more natural unstrained plug in. It may be a bit more cost wise but if you have Apple you know you have quality!

The new Macbook Pros have only 2 USB-C ports. One you basically need to use for your charger, the other, for me, is sufficient for most of the time. But when you need another device, and often I due, such as a flash drive, maybe a mouse or keypad, this adapter is indispensable. Connect this to a multiport USB adapter and you are good to go.

We had to buy an adapter to connect our external drive to our new laptop. There are so many different models and makers but, nothing like buying Apple products to fit right. Best Buys pick up option was awesome even during Covid-19 restrictions as they brought it right to the car.

I have multiple devices that I wanted to use with my iPad Pro. Unfortunately, Apple doesn't allow you to use an external hard drive, but there are still plenty of devices that can be used with the iPad pro. I have multiple input devices that I use with garage band and this easily allows me to connect them.
