awesome product user friendly portable and very functional

the new MacBook retina 12" is slick. unfortunately it comes at the expense of built-in ports on the laptop. for a $1300 laptop, this accessory should be included in the box. however, apple chose the money-grab option, and forces the customer to buy this necessary accessory for an additional $20. this most basic adapter only allows for a single usb connection (usb 3+ I believe), however once you plug it in, you cannot simultaneously charge the laptop. I bought this first, as the adapter I wanted (the one that has power pass-through, hdmi, and usb) was not available for purchase until recently. this adapter is very limited, but a usb hub may increase it's utility. do yourself a favor, skip this accessory, and buy the adapter(s) with more functionality (though the extra $60 ($80 each) for those isn't something to sneeze at).

Works as advertised. Just got a new iMac laptop and wanted to have the option of using my old USB -A mouse.

Compared to alternatives, this is absurdly expensive. You are really paying for the brand here. Ultimately, I ended up picking up a dock as well because this is just not that useful considering how many USB items i have to connect frequently. Good for very basic users, I reckon.

Bought it for my daughter after finding out the new M1 chip MacBook Pro doesn’t have anything but usb c connections … d’oh! Works as it should. No drivers, software, settings … just plug it in, plug in a thumb drive or external drive … boom. Done.

This item helped a lot especially to be able to connect my gears to my laptop that only accepts USB-C connections.

One day, I didn’t need an Apple USB-C-to-USB Adapter. I didn’t think I ever would. Then the next day I did, I needed one. That’s how life is. I needed an adapter and I needed help. Best Buy to the rescue. It works perfectly. Life is good.

I never want to have only one power supply for my MacBook Pro, for I want one in my travel bag and one for the office. But the power supplies for the newer MacBook Pro's come without a cable to connect them to the computer. This is the needed cable. It works, it is needed, and it is rather tough. Maybe I should get a spare?

I gave a 5 star rating because the adaptor works as it is suppose to and the quality is good. It is just unfortunate that Apple opted not to include a usb connection on their MB Pro laptops. So, when I replaced my MB Air with the Pro, I had no choice but buy the adaptor in order to use my portable printer.

It does what it's supposed to do. The new iMacs don't have USB ports so this is a must. Not bulky and I just leave it plugged into the USB-C port because I have older devices that work just fine and don't need to toss them to get a USB-C device.

Perfect for connecting standard USB drive to a Mac. It's great to get this at the price and for same day pick-up.

I would recommend this adapter instead of an off brand since it is a Mac product. Works really well, easy to put in and take out
