Good little adapter for an “old” usb hookup. The easy way to get it done.

It was very useful for my needs for combining two systems that don't usually go together

Apple adapters are like other Apple products: they work great and they last. Look for one that has been marked down and it's an even better deal. Even if Apple products cost more, you can count on them to work. That's a big deal if you are in a situation often when you don't have back up plans, like I do when I facilitate training.

I have a lot of USB-A connected devices that are still quite useful to me, so having this adapter was required. It's an Apple product, and I've found using Apple on Apple has always just worked, no questions, first time, every time. This has been no exception.

This is a dongle-- the simplest thing known to man. It's almost impossible to screw up, and this one (of course) just works. So that SHOULD make it a five-star product. It GETS three because Apple shouldn't charge for these things, period. The way I figure-- if you sell me an overpriced laptop without all of the ports I ACTUALLY use today because you've positioned it way too far into the future, then you OWE me the dongle that makes it work right here in good ol' 2017. So, in short-- this thing is fine (how could it not be?). The business model behind it, however, is anything but.

this was a perfect match along with buying my daughter her apple laptop so she ablle to charge her phone as well using other usb items, as a nursing student she is always on the go go go she loves it and she doesnt have to look fo a plug in to the wall to charge fast items....

It's slim and is easy to carry around in my laptop case!

This is Apple's standard USB A to USB-C adapter for the new MacBook Retina laptop computers. As most people know there is only one port on this computer and it facilitates everything...all peripherals and input devices (if you need them) I don't...but I like being able to plug in a Disc Drive if need be. This adapter worked beautifully.

This is a must have product if you are transitioning from an old mac to a newer mac pro because all the connections on the new macs are USB-c vs. USB on the old laptops. Don't replace all your external gadgets. Instead just get this adapter!

I needed this to install my backup from an external hard drive used on my old MacBook Pro. Worked great. I haven't had to use it since, but it's nice to have in case I want to charge my iPhone with my new MacBook Pro or something else that needs the lightening connection. The price was great too btw.
