For photography, I still use flash drives, so having this is perfect since MacBooks don’t have flash drive slots. It works fast, and is easy to just plug in to my MacBook and is portable! I would recomment to every flash drive user with a MacBook!

My Apple decided not to put a USB 3.0 on the MacBook Air, I don't know, so an adapter is necessary. This works well for my needs. Now I can plug in a thumb drive, computer, other peripheral or a USB Hub and plug them all in at the same time. Has worked perfectly for my current needs, although I am looking at some different for when I travel for photography.

This is usb c to a adapter cable and is genuine apple so no functional issues. It is well made and will last a long time. Baby I reached office has a great selection to choose from

LIKES: Compactness; Works DISLIKES: Cost I purchased this accessory to use with my iPhone, specifically using it to connect it to USB A/B ports. It works, and I have no complaints other than its cost. You can buy a new cable, but it will not fit in your pocket or your wallet.

I love this Apple USB-C to USB Adapter and it is easy to set up and use. It is super helpful being able to use a seperate keyboard and mouse instead of only having my MacBook Air keypad. Definitely recommend!

Work’s beautiful. It adapts anything with an output usb port. It never disconnects and kind of locks so it doesn't fall out or anything. It’s sturdy and well put together. For $20 Id say its worth it. I would buy 6 of them if I could!

I love this little device but hate that I need it! I have so many standard usb accessories that I couldn’t use on my new MacBook Pro since it only has usb type c ports. This one device lets me use my usb devices easily and is durable enough to last for years to come. It would be nice if apple included one of these in each MacBook purchase as they are well aware you will more than likely need it often.

With the speeds that USB-C offers, you should use a good quality cord to max out the connection. With all the sellers out there, how do you know which one is good? You should be able to trust Apple. However, do you really need all that speed? So you could use a cheaper one to accomplish everyday transfers. But, you do need a good one every now and then, so get one and buy it on sale like I did.

My Apple adapter is small, compact and easy to use, it allows me to connect to all of my devices quickly and easily for downloads ect.

There isn't much to say about these - they're basic converters by Apple and as such have the "Apple tax" attached to them. They work well and I have found Apple branded cables and converters to hold up better for the most part than the cheaper off-name branded items. Another way to go is to get a hub that will allow you to connect multiple types of cables too. I have one that does HDMI, USB-A, and USB-C. However sometimes you need to plug something directly into the laptop. These work.

I haven't used it so much but times i have;it was so easy to connect to my MAC and CHROME device download all files i needed.

Solid adapter, does the job, perfect for laptop charging GPS watch, wireless headphones etc.

This is a much needed add on for someone who might be using a MacBook Pro or iPad Pro. To get the USB port available, you'll be needing one or a few of these. I bought these instead of those port hubs fro my MacBook since I like the hard shells over the aluminum case. So that makes those accessories unusable. Plus I like the apple brand products for best compatibility and fewest issues.

It's super easy to use and works perfectly for my personal use case. I think my biggest gripe is just the fact that you have to pay for this at all. Apple loves to cut out key functionality in favor of aesthetics a little bit before the alternative is ready for primetime, and this is no exception. I'm sitting here with 3 dongles such as this hanging out of my MacBook because of it. Of course, this isn't a knock on the product itself — if you need it, get open-box to save a few bucks.
