    I have one of these in each of 3 places...next to sewing machine, in computer backpack, and in kitchen. I need it to connect Macbooks to portable DVD/CD players. I'd buy a cheaper one if I could

    This adapter is required if you are buying a new MacBook as there are no USB ports. It was worked perfectly for every USB item I have tried so far (camera, phone, card reader and Go Pro).

    My college doesn't allow wireless printers, so this was necessary for any in dorm printing I wanted to do with my MacBook with thunderbolts. Honestly, it's an Apple product. Of course it's reliable and trustworthy.

    This adapter does exactly what I needed it to do. It was affordable and will allow me to connect most things to my computer. If you need more than a USB adapter you will need to get the more expensive version of this.
