    I had to buy it to be able to use my USB devices. The adapter works as advertised and I don't mint the way it sticks off the side of my laptop when I connect devices to it.

    Although I wasn't happy that Apple decided to eliminate all USB ports, this small item makes it possible to use USB devices on my new laptop. It is an item you must have for the new Apple products.

    As Apple eliminates ports for the MacBook line this is another adapter I dad to purchase to synch both my iPad and iPhone to the 2018 MacBook Pro. It works. Not something I will be using often.

    Perfect for those that hop on the Apple bandwagon and their forward thinking, but still live in a USB world. Charges and connects my USB devices (there's plenty of them) to my new MacBook (only has USB-c) connectors.
