    Tried a different brand adapter to connect VGA projector to MacBook Pro and went in to a panic because nothing showed on the screen and my presentation was the next day. Went back to Best Buy and purchased this Apple adapter and Voila! the day was saved!

    I keep this dongle with me in my backpack to make sure I have the adaptations I need for presentations. I wish I did not need all the adapters for Apple products, but this does do the job.

    After trying multiple 3rd party adapters with no luck this one worked like a charm. Would highly suggest using the Apple branded products with your new or loved MacBook.

    Yes, this is pricey at $70. However, it does work well when connecting my 2009 Dell Monitors to my 2017 MacBook Pro via a VGA to HDMI cord.

    I liked the first one of these that I got, so I went back and purchased another - after all my MacBook Pro has four USB-C ports. It works. I now have two different monitors hooked to my MacBook Pro, so I have a wall of screens on my desk.

    With USB-C the port structure on your device is simplified. Instead of having ports I don't use, I pick which dongles I want to pack with me based on usage- and I save the cost of having a computer with ports I don't require.

    Exactly what I needed to connect older monitors to MacBook. It did take the USPS 22 days to get it here. Ordered December 8, Arrived five days after Christmas, December 30.

    I bought this because I knew the Apple branded version would work flawlessly and it does. It would be nice if Apple included a common USB adapter since they are unwilling to give you a port for the $$$$ you spend.

    Works as expected. Not cheap but does the trick. There are some third party manufacturers that make these dongles but the Apple ones have always worked well for us.

    Does its simple job well. Never had connection issues or anything. Could use for a lower price, honestly. But you're paying an Apple brand tax.
