He loves it and he’s been trying to lose weight and it helps him track his progress! The battery life isn’t very long (1 day and a half) but for all it does it’s wonderful!

Best entry level Apple watch to replace aging one

Not much difference but do have more features and a bigger screen. Same wish as others that there should be an included type-c charger wall plug with it, Biggest gain is the battery life and screen real estate. No need for the series 7 AOD feature nor the temp sensor. This is perfect for me.
