They do the repairs on the phone or watch but you have to pay another deductible betond the original fee. Double fees are no fun.

I would definitely recommend purchasing Apple care especially if buying the Apple Watch. My sister in law broke her screen and didn't have apple care and she had a hard time finding someone to repair it and when she did it was very expensive. I've only had to use my Apple care once but I was glad I had it. Their service was amazing and expedited. My watch stopped in the middle of an update and wouldn't turn on and even though I had to mail it in to get fixed I had it back in perfect condition within a couple of days.

I recommend buying apple care because if it ever breaks you can just go to your Apple Store and pay a small fee and get a brand new watch.

Usually do not get warranties for product but did for piece of mind since the product covering is an Apple watch and wear all the time.
