    I had made the mistake of not getting an apple care plan in the past and when I dropped my older iPad on the floor and it hit right on a corner I couldn't afford to get it fixed. So, I never used it again. I tried having others fix it and it was never the same. If I had bought the plan I would have received a brand new iPad. I always get the plan now.

    Pricey but excellent customer service if you have a problem. Next day RMA if you have a problem is also great.

    After buying a MacBook Air, but not purchasing the Apple Care I had an issue shortly after the factory warranty expired. The cost of repair without the Apple Care plan was nearly the cost to buy a new MacBook. I will never purchase a product without purchasing an extended plan again.
