    I didn't think I'd ever need AppleCare then in the Spring I dropped the iPad I purchased last November. It hit the tile floor just on the corner and shattered the screen - yes it was in a good case. Lesson learned, buy AppleCare with the replacement iPad!

    Bought this as my earlier version (one of the first ones) was seeming slow compared to my wife's ipad (an air 1st series, I think.) I am really happy with the extra storage on the model I bought as I was crowding my old one with music and photo files. Lots of room on this one and a great deal at Best Buy! Very happy I bought this.

    I wouldn't purchase an Apple product because it more than has paid its' way in the past. Not necessarily because you will need it for a hardware issue, but it is helpful to be able to speak to a live human to help you work something out with the software.

    I cannot imagine not purchasing the Apple Care with any Apple product. I have always had great service and support from the Apple team. They are friendly, professional and respectful. Even when my older macbook had a glitch I called them and they had me take it in to the genius bar and they fixed it even tho it was out of coverage!!
