    All my Apple devices have Apple Care. There is nothing worse than a down device and the horrible repair bill you could be facing if you accidentally drop or damage the device. Screens are protected and those for even the iPhone can cost $99 and up (more if you go through Apple like you should). This plan allows for minimal repair fees should you damage your device. However, factory defects are covered totally at no cost.
