I believe it is necessary to purchase this when spending so much on an iPad. The best buy associate was not aware of the incident fees you need to pay Apple when you go in to get a repair/replacement. Be aware that cost is on top of what you pay for this plan. It is still very worth it! If you break the screen they replace the entire iPad, they do not repair them.

Apple care is great. And everyone should have it. When you need it it's the best.

AppleCare is great for protection, but at the beginning when you are a new user for an iPad, this is the best part. Technical support is always available to help you with whatever questions you may have. They always understand what you are trying to figure out. Definitely worth the money!

Anytime we buy a protection plan, we really hope that we will never really need to rely on it, but I have used it in the past so I always get it for all of my Apple products. I have used this plan with iPhone, MacBook, and iPad 2, and the customer service is as top notch as it is in the Apple stores. They always take the time to walk me through any steps I need help with; I have no complaints.

Purchasing any expensive equipment is always risky without having proper protection in addition to the warranties. Apple products are no different . Apple care provides a way to ensure quality repair in the event of unforeseen circumstances. Also apple warranties are quickly voided if repars are performed by unauthorized dealers. Better to be safe than have a useless piece of junk on your hands

Good to have, pricy accidents happened on my previous iPad. I think os worth it.

Bought this for my grandson. He loves it. I don't have to worry about damage or something going wrong because of the extended warranty. Kids (he is 12) sometimes lose their grip on electronics. I wanted to be sure that there would be minimal down time if there was a breakage.

Just like American Express, don’t go out without it! If anything happens to your iPad or any accessories you purchased to go along with it. They are covered! Along with the AppleCare to protect my iPad, I picked up the Apple Pencil. The employee that was helping me, told me about the accessories being covered. This was something I had not known before!

When purchasing an Apple product, or any electronica device you need to be protected, and with Apple you can purchase the extended coverage plan and be protected. Crazy not to have anything backing you up for when those oops a car, or the device just stops working. AppleCare plus is a must
