Since the new devices aren't upgradable, you can't replaced failed parts - this is pretty much a no-brainer. It's a cheaper insurance policy than a new laptop. Also good for software support.

Peace of mind with a cristal laptop MacBook Pro 14

I have not used it, but I think that Apple computers can damage easily (screen crack, aluminum dent, battery). So I prefer to buy it and sleep at night.
