Great camera for a door bell. On another note after a trail period you have to pay arlo for videos and other views from the camera. THIS WAS NOT VERY NOTICEABLE DURING THE PURCHASE PROCESS I FEEL THAT THIS IS VERY MISLEADING. THE DOORBELL WORKS WHEN SOME APPROACHES AND RINGS THE BELL BUT RECORDINGS ARE TURNED OFF!

Got this doorbell to work with the Pro 2 cameras... it was very easy to add it to the Arlo app and works very good in sync with the cameras... I like the two way voice communication and how it syncs with the app to show the garage camera I synced it to... original battery life was short, probably 3 weeks from installation, now using rechargeable ones, still to confirm how much time they last... like to look and the fact it works wireless...

My doorbell isn’t located at a convenient spot to catch people approaching or leaving my front door. Since this doorbell connects to my Arlo cameras it enables me to speak with and be notified when someone rings my doorbell via the Arlo app. I can also see them on my camera which is located wherever I need it to be. Overall, this doorbell is perfect for someone who is doorbell isn’t facing towards the sidewalk leading up to their front door.

Installation was a easy. I tried all settings and finally got it after about 30 minutes. I have it hard wired so that's is why. It is slightly inconsistent on the app. Sometimes it shows the camera, sometimes it doesn't.But after update that's okay.Other time you can't hear the person talking. I think with some software update it will work better.

It is ok. Setup was pretty easy. Called for support with settings, that was a bust. They hung up on me at 5pm. I guess that is the time they get off. You can’t seem to turn the device off, so every-time I go out or let my dogs out I get an alert. A bit frustrating. It syncs with the camera that was good, and easy to accomplish.

Addition to Arlo Pro 2 system

The audio doorbell is a simple add-on to the Arlo Pro 2 system. I already have a camera by the door, so this complements it nicely (the video doorbell wasn't available). The speaker could be louder, but it does the job. Since it doesn't have a video feed, it doesn't take up one of my free cameras slots. Visitors are surprised when the doorbell asks them to leave a message :) One star removed, as this doesn't integrate with SmartThings (the other Pro 2 cameras so).

This works great with the Arlo system I have! But, the only thing I really don’t like about it, is that you can only ring it once. What I mean by that is that you can’t hit it twice in quick succession and make the chime ring longer. You can see my review of the Arlo chime that goes with this. Otherwise it does work great with the Arlo app and cameras I already have!

Easy install, nice addition to round off my security system. My main issue is the volume of the speaker, it’s really non existent. Very hard to hear prerecorded messages and communicate with visitors.

Thus is a great device. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is because it does not include a built-in camera. However, one may pair an arlo camera with this device and have nearly the same outcome as having a video doorbell. But one would have to install two devices instead of one to get that outcome if the goal is to see and hear who’s at the door.

We have had this bell for almost a year. It works well inside the house but the audio for the person ringing the bell is not very good. Our bell recently started having issues so we contacted customer support and it is just awful. They have agreed to exchange the bell but now we are trying to get the RMA link to work and have used 3 browsers but no luck. We then tried their online link to send a message but the password did not work so reset the password and it still does not work. We sent a message via the email they send us where you are supposed to be able to contact the person you spoke to. No response. All we need is an address to send it to. Called and spoke to a person but they were reading from a script and were just useless. We love our Arlo cameras but if you have a warranty issue it is a nightmare. Next time I will buy the Geek Squad warranty. On principle we never buy extended warranties but Arlo support just sucks.

I just purchased the Arlo Pro 2 wireless indoor/outdoor cameras along with the Arlo Chime and Arlo Audio Doorbell. I opted out of the installation package and installed all within 30 mins. The doorbell with chime works perfectly and a call goes directly to my mobile phone. Since I included camera, I get live video is included with every doorbell ring. I love it.

My kids said their mother wanted a camera doorbell for Christmas. I reviewed all the different options available and read several different reviews as well. I had recently decided to purchase the Arlo Pro 2 wireless camera system. I didn’t really care for just the plain doorbell camera system. I realized during all my comparisons and reviews that I could pair the Arlo Doorbell with the Pro 2 Camera system. It was a match made in heaven. Once you ring the bell it rings your phone ,the video pops up once you accept the call. You are able to speak to the person at the door with camera or doorbell. Having the two paired together gives you a wider coverage. I have to the front porch , drive way and mailbox all covered in one view. I didn’t see this in any of my reviews. You can have a two way conversation with the person at the door, just no video with the doorbell setup, however with the camera you could. I love this setup , I can just say Alexa show me the Front Porch or Backyard it pops up on the TV. I highly recommend that if you buy this product utilize the camera with it, you will be very pleased , I have the 1080p, awesome view!!!!

Excellent option for our Arlo system, works great. Very easy to install, we did not have a doorbell previously. Connected to the camera very easily. Even if it is not pressed, the sensor lights up and connects to the camera. Great interface with cell phone app also, You can clearly see who is at the door.

I was going to purchase a ring till I found this. I already had the Arlo cameras so I decided to go this direction so I didn't have to open a different app. It works well. The sound has a little to be desired. People have a hard time hearing me and feel I'm shooting. And if you don't have a camera pointed at your front door.....you'll have to add one as this is an intercom only

Installation was a chore. It would not work with my two chime door bell. I tried all three settings and finally got it after about 45 minutes. I have it hard wired so that’s is why. It is slightly inconsistent on the app. Sometimes it shows the camera, sometimes it doesn’t. Other time you can’t hear the person. I think with some software update it will work better.

Already had Arlo pro 2 cameras so this doorbell was the perfect match. Works great and now paired with the chime the actual doorbell is better plus communication, ability to receive messages and even speak from my phone.. all for a low cost.

Hmm. I like the idea of this doorbell, but it was challenging to set up - and we had installed other Arlo cameras previously - and it is finicky. That is, it detects the motion of bugs at 3 AM but will not ring unless the white light is first illuminated. Because most guests at the door do not wait for the light to come on, the bell does often not ring. All in all, it is irritating, but I am not ready to replace it, and it is functional in that it is convenient to talk to people without opening the front door (assuming they have actually activated the doorbell by waiting for the light to illuminate).

I think this type of door bell works great if you do not have a doorbell and need to add one. Plus being able to talk to people is a plus. The only downside is that the speaker is not loud enough. Have to get right up next to it to hear. Volume is set to max. Others have complained about it.

My wife and I went into Best Buy intending to purchase a Ring doorbell to go along with our Arlo cameras. After looking at the Ring display we noticed a small box containing the Arlo doorbell. We looked it up and read reviews and decided on the Arlo. Not only did it cost a fraction of what the Ring cost it works just as well. While the Arlo doorbell does not record video if you have Arlo cameras at your door then it does the exact same thing the Ring will do. The cameras will detect the motion of someone at your door and if they ring the doorbell using the Arlo doorbell it automatically rings your phone. Answering it you can talk to the person at your door through the doorbell and it even has preset messages such as "I'm not interested." The doorbell itself was easy to install and can be hardwired to your existing doorbell, if you desire. Ring may be the standard but you get the same protection and ability for much less using this doorbell.
