I've been using Arlo cameras for several years. I like this new design and the larger batter (with longer battery life). It's working perfectly.

Camera was easy to install and setup. Well worth the price for what you get. Very satisfied.

Great video quality. Battery seems to last a long time. The video delay is a bit annoying but nothing bad.

If you have been unfortunate to own one of the older Arlo cameras, 2+ years, then you should definitely give this one a try. The pic & sound are good nothing out of this world although the night time color is a big plus compared to many cameras. The battery, while lasting no where near a year lol, does last way longer than previous Arlo wireless efforts by a long shot! It started out a little bumpy, like only 3 weeks to a month. After the intial run & a small amount of tweaking I'm currently at 3 months with 46% left. I consider that a win. While the Arlo app still leaves a bit to be desired, it's functional & Arlo pairs up & works great with Google Home & Samsung SmartThings which I my preferred Hubs. All & all a good purchase. Far better than my 1st Arlo Pro camera. I would suggest using an Arlo hub as opposed to just connecting via WiFi. You'll have a much faster & all around better experience.

I already owned 5 early model Arlo cameras. I bought this to watch the front of our home for trespassers in the middle of the night. (We've had increased crime in our neighborhood.) The third night it detected someone entering our front yard to get to our neighbor's back yard at 4 AM--and set off the siren. Scared them out of there IMMEDIATELY!

I bought an Arlo 4 pack a few years ago, which came with 4 basic Arlo Pro cameras and a smart hub. I wish that i had waited and bought the Essential instead. Unlike the other cameras I have the Essential XL doesn’t require me to change batteries, and has the option of adding a solar charger so that I can install it and never have to use it again. It also has a microphone and siren, and can distinguish between people, animals, vehicles, and other motion, features not available on those older cameras. Definitely a nice little camera.

I did return arlo. i tryed to share it and they got it to for there phone and when i tryed to put it back to my phone i could not get to work .it a good camera i will buy another one for my friend

These cameras are Great! We purchased a few of them for our home and business office. With the use of the accompanying app, we can see what is going on regardless of where we are in the world

The setup is amazingly simple, with a Smart hub interface you get bright clear videos, Arlo is fairly priced and worth every penny

Love this camera! I use it for indoor security due to frequent business travel and I have peace of mind knowing I can monitor home from anywhere. You can arm your camera when gone, call emergency services straight from the app, and it even has a built in flashlight to view your space in the dark! Camera quality is good, battery life is great, and the convenience of cloud storage makes it easy to store and access footage from everywhere! If Arlo wants to send me a camera to test I’ll gladly accept!

Overall a great camera. We bought it to give us extra security outside of our apartment and it was so easy to install and setup. The only reason I didn't give the camera 5 starts is that we have to charge it once every 3 months (we do have the spotlight setting turned on so maybe that's the reason). I would definitely recommend it.

The camera is good but at night there is a huge glare on it from the street light and I cannot get it to go away no matter how I position the camera. The Arlo pro 2 series did not do this. During the day the camera is awesome! Overall i love the cameras but I wish the glare was not there at night.

It does what it is supposed to do. It’s weathered rain, heat, and still works like the day it left the box. It’s easy to mount. It’s easy to charge and the charge is still going and it’s been a month. With the camera and the app, and with the mic where I’m able to talk to people and my dog while I’m gone, I’m happy about it. Also, the light is bright and covers where I need to see in the backyard. I like that it is motion sensitive and to be honest I didn’t know it came with the ability to control the feature remotely and turn on the light when I want to. Great product and a great bang for the Buck.

Great product. The specifics as far as animal, car, person is nice. Battery is great. Only wish it would pickup the motion a bit earlier.

Great battery life, very clear picture and ease of use. Great camera. Arlo is pricey but worth it. Love the app, microphone and light.

Arlo performs great! Was impressed by the distance it will work from the house's WiFi. The night vision was better than expected!
