If you need to mount your cameras to view steeper angles than what the magnetic mounts will provide, this mount is highly adjustable and provides a more secure (screw) attachment. With this mount, you can point your camera 90 degrees directly down to the ground while the magnetic ones seem to view at about a 45 degree angle. My only complaint is that these aren’t cheap, and you have to purchase them separately from the actual camera kit.

Necessary for outdoor use. It prevents someone from just walking up and taking your expensive cameras! You can't have the the magnetic ball mount for outdoor use because someone can easily take your camera and I have one inside and notice sometimes the camera slides so the magnet is not strong enough to hold. This mount does the job.

Our Arlo cameras came with a mount, but it really was rather feeble. Since I wanted to mount the camera outside and we were under a time crunch, I bought this mount, spending the $20, which I thought was pricy for what it was.
It's sturdy, stable, and does the job. In fact, compared to a purchase of a pair of after-market mounts, I guess it was mostly worth it. Still a bit pricey for what it does, but ok, well built.

The starter kit came with 4 cameras but only 2 of these mounts. They are well built and easy to install. My only beef is that there were only 2 in the kit. Had to buy 2 additional mounts to finish my exterior install.

This makes it so much easier to adjust the camera. It also makes it harder for someone to take. The mount that is included with the system holds the camera by a magnet so a thief would be able to grab off pretty easily. This is screwed on so it would make it much harder and time consuming for a thief to take off with the camera.

Gets a bit pricey when you need one for 6 cameras. So I got a cheapo set online. They were plastic and the camera wouldn’t stay where I wanted it so I ended up getting these anyway. These are metal and solid. When tightened down, the camera doesn’t budge.

When I bought the Arlo Pro Security System, I saw that it included only one outdoor stand, even though there were 3 cameras in the system. Fortunately my brother-in-law had an extra outdoor stand from a similar Arlo System that he installed, so he gave it to me and I was able to purchase this one from Best Buy.
