Great add-on camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought the 3 set kit when it was $349 and have added 2 more Arlo cam's to give me a total of 5 Arlo wireless cam's..I was impressed by the first 3 cam's and how they perform so I added 2 more..FYI: base station only supports 5 cams. First I would like to say that the Arlo set is an addition to my exsiting 4 POWERED/PLUGGED in HD cam's that provided audio,24/7 recording,day/night vision, two way audio & scheduling---with that being said the WIRELESS Arlo HD cam's are a GREAT addition for me even with the no audio..I do have 200mbps download speed & 20mbps upload speed so access to camera's is great and the base station is in a central location so all 5 Arlo wireless cams have FULL SIGNAL strength(furthest cam is 100ft away) and have being using for over a month now and the BATTERY LIFE is still showing FULLY CHARGED according to the Arlo app..To have the batteries last the four to six months that they are advertized to do you MUST have cams set to "Opitmize Level" for live video feed, recording and only view live video feed 4mins a day.. there is 3 video levels to choose from. I also have cams recording for 25sec's per motion detection and detection work's GREAT( u can set up to 2mins) as long as you have camera's facing/mounted where motion pass from side to side not straight on..I also turn camera's off when they are not needed, THEY ARE not meant to be 24/7 recording cams..I found that the Duracell batteries work the BEST and Netgear DOES NOT recommend using rechargable batteries--as far as PRICE on batteries I got 4 DURACELL batteries for $15 with doing price match with local stores( your going pay $20 to $40 per year on electricity on plugged in cams ) FYI: The info I'm giving is in the online manual for the the camera set..I'm only using the free cloud recording that cames with the set which is fine since my main cams handle all my recordings...So for the price and being WIRELESS (be able to mount almost anywhere up to 350ft) with Great video quailty, motion detection, notifcation, live video access thur app (I'm using a IPhone 6 )and online the Arlo Wireless HD cam's are worth it....

Works good but devours batteries
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Set up is very simple and the web-portal and app are easy enough to use. Features, like push notification of motion, work well. However, you need to factor the cost of batteries into the price. Expect to replace the batteries about every two months. Keep this in mind during camera placement. I would highly recommend buying 32 rechargeable lithium batteries for rotation (4 batteries per camera).

Good Camera, Easy to Install
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This camera has a clear picture. It is also very easy to install. The only reason I did not give it five stars is because the motion is very sensitive and you have to set it up just right or it picks up every car that passes by.

Fantastic Product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Netgear Arlo camera system is a great concept. For the fact alone that it's wireless sets it far apart from the conventional wired camera systems. I found many have been reluctant to purchase this product because it's battery operated. I can safety say that that should be of no concern. I have been adding cameras to my existing system which I purchased many months ago, and all the cameras still indicate full bars on the battery life display. The video is clean and crisp. The system allows for motion sensing that functions very well. The construction of the camera itself is of very good quality. The feel of the camera's build and design along with the base unit that attaches to the home router indicates a lot of thought and engineering have gone into this product. Netgear has come a long way in building quality products and this is a prime example of a reliable quality product that will perform as expected. Also the system's firmware update-able so it can only improve from an already great product! No regrets!

worth the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The cameras were fairly easy to set up. The picture is pretty good. It's easy to monitor from my cell phone at work. My only complaint is the batteries don't last long.

Exactly what I needed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've gone back to purchase more of these after my initial purchase. They work exactly as stated. I have them installed at my lake house and they are inconspicuous in the trees due to the lack of wires needed. I've had to play with the sensitivity on the camera to keep the batteries from draining and alerts from making me go crazy, but after a little adjusting, I think I've found the right settings for my particular environment.

Wish that more cameras could be added
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this single camera so that I could add another camera to the 4 camera set I purchased. It works well and was easy to mount on the wall. Works perfectly with the other cameras and base unit. Would have liked to add still another but the base unit can only handle 5 cameras in total.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Super Easy to install. ZERO WIRES! Very good coverage in house and even across property to my garage. I think it's worth it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Way easy to set up. Camera picture quality is good. Normally doesn't catch the action and some motion sensors are better than others. One camera catches things 20 feet away, the other waits until a fly walks across the sensor. So far, I'm not seeing the poor battery performance that I read about. All in all, a good simple system for keeping tabs on things.

Excellent video quality during daylight and darkness. System allows you to see who is wandering around when you are away or while your sleeping. Tech support is available 24/7 if needed. 0 stars, if i could
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought Two sets of Arlo Pro base station-and-4 cameras (that's over $1300.00) One set for home, one for the shop. I signed up for premier service, so we could watch all the cameras, remotely. Both bases stations quit working just out of warranty. They are really cheaply made. You can't get any real help from Netgear support (yeah, they own them) They only have tech support, they don't speak English, and they can't solve problems. They can't even issue a refund for the unused part of the monitoring plan. I have made several calls, and so far have racked up nearly two hours on the phone. Not only did they not issue a refund, but they have CHARGED OUR CARD! According to their website, (https://kb.arlo.com/1215141/How-do-I-change-or-cancel-my-Arlo-subscription-plan) you get a refund by changing your subscription to basic, and they will issue a refund to your credit card in 1-2 business days. I took a screen shot of the message on my account (see below) that stated this. Good thing I did, as I never got an email, nor a refund, and on the phone they tell me they don't give refunds, and that I need to call my credit card company. This is not my first issue with Netgear. I had a poorly performing router, once, too, and was never able to get tech support to help with that, either. Had I known they owned Arlo cameras, I would not have bought them. Do yourself a favor, and try to reach tech support before you ever buy any product. Also see how easy it is to get help with billing issues before you buy. You won't buy this product, if you do. The cameras were really neat for the short time they worked, but it was a very short time for the price we paid, and now, I have to get extra charges off my credit card, and not just the refund we are due,

Ask question before buying
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We like the system when it works properly. We have had it for almost 4 months and had to have one replaced already. Support with company is really poor...better off trying to fix it yourself! We had questions about installing the system and representative didn't know what she was talking about. Cameras take good pictures and videos...and we like the fact that you can set them on a schedule or turn them on and off from your phone. You can only hook up 5 cameras at no monthly charge, after that it is 10.00 a month. We were told you could hook up 8 at no charge when we purchased them. We would recommend this system, but not the support center. Hope this helps....

Excellent system
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great camera system for a budget. Good quality, motion detection is great, and works perfectly on a smart phone. Installation was a breeze and the magnets are strong enough to prevent unwanted movement. I do wish it had audio.

great cameras for my night jungle backyard
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Everyone is enjoying seeing what transpires during the night in my active wild animal back property. It's been enlightening and fun to watch. The cameras are very clear and the system is great. We add cameras and view them from our smartphones when the alert sounds

I am happy with this
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had 5 of these on 1 base unit and it works as expected. It took a bit of time getting the sensitivity of the cameras set up but that was to be expected. Also all this talk about poor battery life ...... no problems there. I was told average 3 to 4 months and after 2 I still have full battery bars. I should make the 3 month mark at least. The software both on mobile and Web need a little tweaking though. I don't think it as intuitive as it should and the brightness does not work. The cameras are good for my needs and the night vision works. Overall I'm happy

The absolute best system!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Researched a ton of camera systems before ending up with Arlo. Super easy to install (no wires!!) super clear video and images! You can play live or save videos up to a week w/o a membership. Alerts me to even a bird passing by! I can zoom in, the night vision is clear as day! The mounts sold separately help to get the best angles I recommend investing in them. My only complain is without the mount someone can steal the camera, it's only held by magnet so it needs to be high enough also batteries need to be replaced often and they're pricey!
