Best Wireless Camera so far
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the fact that this system sets up its own wifi network which connects to the cameras with a push of a button. That is so easy compared to setting up forwarding ports on your wifi network with other cameras. Have 9 Pro models and then of course they immediately release the Pro 2 model in 1080, which is the addition I am writing about here. All of them work great if you position the camera to minimize the recording lag when it detects motion. Beware that they changed the batteries on the Pro 2. No more white cube, but use regular rechargeable batteries instead. Wasted money buying the two battery charger.

Arlo gives us piece of mind
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was an add-on to our existing systems. We have two homes that are under the watchful eyes of Arlo, so when we are at one, the other is active. I know it won't prevent thieves from getting in, but by the time they notice a camera, they are already on 'film' and a notice is being sent to us of an intrusion. We also use it to monitor the weather at our mountain home. I would have given it a 5-star rating if they made a camera that also transmitted the temperature. (But that's just me) The field of view is quite large and clear. It may be difficult to obtain recognizable pictures from a distance, so place them close enough to points of entry that will allow facial recognition. Place the stickers in visible areas to deter intrusions.

Good observation system, not a proffessional one
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good image quality day and night; easy setup and fixinng using included magnetic support. Batteries duration is not very good, but depends scheduled recording modes.

Very convenient being totally wireless
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The camera quality is good. The only adjustment with the motion sensor is the sensitivity which is disappointing. This would be a much better system if the camera's batteries can somehow charge with solar power

served my purpose, but it's not perfect
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After I purchased the pack with 2 cameras, I realized I needed 1 more. The next day, I purchased another one. I am still trying to figure out how to not get emails every time the motion sensor is activated. It takes me so long to delete all of them and it's not necessary since I get an alert each time. Within a few days, there was an update and since then, I can't adjust the length of time for the video. Also, one camera is activated when anyone comes in the house or goes through a room that you have to in order to get any place else in the house. The batteries died in less than a month. Not too happy about that. Overall, the cameras have served my purpose of knowing what is going on when no one is home.

Nice camera, batteries die fast when outside/cold
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall a nice camera setup, the app is pretty easy to follow picture comes up slowly at times but that could be a wifi issue on my end. A little pricy but would recommend them as they do a good job and exactly what I bought it for. As for the battery, they are expensive to replace $20-$25 a camera. And they die quickly when exposed to cold / outside. I have three total cameras. The one outside already needs new batteries, the others however seem to be just fine. So I have decided it's the cold, it is MI and very cold right now in the middle of January.

Arlo Security Camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Arlo to provide security to my home external property. Weather proof cameras are sturdy. System is really easy to setup. With it being wireless there are many possibilities for locating them. Just need to make sure you have a fast wifi with a strong signal radius. Adding cameras to the system is simple as well. I have 5 setup to mine. Only down side is that every couple of months you have to replace the batteries.

Excellent security camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can say having just received this it does everything it says. From out of the box to hook up took maybe 15 minutes max. Incredibly easy to connect to your internet and sync the camera picture quality is quite good and the app (I use iPhone) is very easy to use and monitor. I can confirm that there is a 2 second or so delay in the camera firing up when you hit stream. The mounts are about as simple as they can be to setup. 1 screw for the mount and the camera attaches magnetically. Aside from hooking up the base station there are no wires at all. You can also share access for other family members to view from their mobile device. Great price for video surveillance and you can get add on cameras as you like. Comes with 2 mounts so you can place another mount somewhere else and just pull the camera off and attache to the other mount. One issue if you mount one outside is there is no way to secure the camera, so you may want to have it at an out of reach place and/or hidden.

Easy set up
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is so easy to set up we bought one to try it out and it worked great. Just set up a second one today. Use outside and have no complaints.

better for indoor monitoring than outdoor security
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Elegant design - Very easy setup - Excellent online interface - The major downside beside the inherent limitations of battery power, is the very limited range of motion detection. A moving object has to be within 10-15 feet to trigger recording, and that's moving across the field. Moving straight toward the camera makes it even less sensitive.

we like it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.night vision isn't that good & we do have light in it's location at night. It was easy to set up but the batteries have to be replaced so keep your ladder handy if you're putting these up outside like we did. Wired would probably be a better option unless you have them in an easy location. I think this is better inside than outside

Great Camera but has a delay
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The only reason I gave it four stars is because of the delay, I have it in my door front of my house and sometimes the video I get is when the door closing you don't see the person that was there. they need to update this or fix this it's alittle ridiculous but other than that it works fine. And other thing I wish the batteries would last longer actually it depends of how many times the camera turns on but if you have heavy traffic you are going to go through a lot of batteries. And they aren't cheap. I don't buy the cheap ones because you're only going to get 30 days max. I buy the Duracell Or the energizes they actually lasts about 4months with the traffic in my house. But other than that the camera works great nice and clear video I get and you can download it onto your phone for free.

Good camera, bad batteries
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Batteries died after a couple of weeks of use on low sensitivity motion detector. The other cameras from a 4-pack are still in 70-80% good range. Guess I had bad luck in picking a box that had been there forever. But the cameras do a good job overall.

Good product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First I have had the camera system for 6 months so I'm not a one week owner that can't give a fair opinion. The system is very easy to hook up. Cameras sync easily and you can be up and running in less than an hour. Range is very good in my opinion. Outside cameras perform as well as inside. Batteries would be my main concern. Don't base battery life on supplied batteries because they could be old. I purchased rechargeable online and I would recommend you do the same. Battery life is long if you do minimal recording. I get about a week before I have to recharge on cameras I record with all of the time. My kitchen is the busiest room and they last a week. Cameras that don't record can easily last 2 months depending on the amount of live viewing. The 6 month claim is a far stretch in my experience . Yes I would buy them again. I added more than 5 cameras so Arlo charges $10 for 6-10 and more for 10-15. Just mount them so you can easily get to them to change the batteries.
