    Overall Good Wireless Security System

Out of the box, the camera system was easy to install. However, there is a delay between the camera and the device you are viewing the footage on. It also depends on if you are connected to the same internet connection the cameras (Home Wifi) and if your viewing it via LTE or on a different connection than the cameras. The lag can sometimes be a difference of 10-30 seconds. Moreover, the audio communication between the camera and you the viewer is poor. Those listening from the camera can hear you just fine, but it is difficult for them to hear you. The picture quality is okay, but not what I had hoped 2k quality to be. The battery life has been good so far, but I have mine on a schedule so they only run when there is movement at night and throughout the day. Arlo tech support seemed to be helpful, but weren't able to resolve all my issues. One of them is that the USB I plugged into the base to record locally would not accept my external hard drive even though it was formatted correctly and was below the drive capacity threshold. So, I had to go with a simple 32GB stick for the meantime. I had researched this camera system for a years and finally got to a point where I had to buy something. I thought the price was good for the Arlo Pro 3 since I got them on sale. The Ultra wasn't worth the extra and the Pro 2 didn't have all the features I wanted. So, I settled for this and it was, well...okay.

This is our first camera purchase. Being new to this, I can say it's got pros & cons. We had the basic kit installed so you have to physically take the camera down, charge it, put it back up. when it was installed, there was less than half the battery life and we had to charge one of the cameras within 2 weeks. They have a great range of view, clear video, clear audio.

Love the cameras! Installation was very simple & quick for what's involved. The app is easy to navigate and love the resolution. My only gripe is the battery life in high traffic areas, however the solar charger is easier than hard wiring. Very rarely some camera's will drop offline which can be extremely frustrating. I have a nighthawk router/ modem which is pretty strong, but I'll add a booster.

Overall the cameras do what they should, the battery life could be 2 months or 2 weeks depending on use. If the camera alerts go off daily expect to charge the battery again in 1 to 2 weeks. The app is slow and unresponsive often. The signal can be weak at times and have trouble connecting. If you can deal with the app and battery issue I would recommend.

I am totally satisfied with my Arlo Pro 3 wireless security system, my only disappointment is the short period of time before I had to recharge the batteries. The video quality of the camera is excellent and the integrated spot light works great at night. Thanks Best Buy for offering the Arlo Pro 3 - 4 camera system for $499, a great product for a great price.

This camera system is pretty solid, only negative I have so far is battery life in each camera. I feel like they battery needs to be charged on a weekly basis which requires me to take the camera down and plug it into a wall outlet somewhere. Kind of inconvenient. The price tag is also high but the quality of video and the options it comes with in the app make it worth it.

Got these to monitor the exterior of my house. Setup was easy and took around 45 min including setting up account pairing all cameras to Base station and mounting cameras. Came with two magnetic mounts and two threaded mounts. Cameras in low traffic areas haven’t required charging yet and are still over 50% battery after 2 months. The camera on the main entry area has required charging roughly every 3 weeks. I have the preference set for higher quality images rather than optimal battery life.

Bought this after our car was rummaged through out on our driveway. Very clear, crisp picture but I can't have it anywhere near my flags outside my home or it continues to keep sensing motion. I have tried every adjustment there is. I'm getting about 2 weeks on a full charge so it can be kind of a pain to constantly charge the battery.

Cameras set up in minutes with absolutely no problems. Picture is as advertised. Pretty good for (in my case) not the strongest wifi signal. Recording plays back just fine. I have 2 cameras and 2 lights. All work well. I split the leads on a solar panel and it's powering a light and a camera just fine. (we're in NM so the sun is very intense).

I bought this 4-camera system primarily because it was wireless and the reviews on the video appeared strong. Installation: I found this to be extremely easy to install and connect to my home wifi. I've had no connection/weak signal issues even with 2 of my cameras a fair distance away from the base unit. You do not have to be an IT Tech to install this system. 2 different style bases were included (2 of each) for the 4 cameras. This does limit a little bit of where you might want to put them (ie. if outside you may want the screw set version vs. the magnetic version that someone could pluck off easily, if it is reachable). Picture/video quality is good. I love the system alerts (very close to real time) and the numerous settings and options available/customizable by camera location. Once thing I have noticed in setting up the "zones" it still triggers passing cars at the end of my driveway even though the street is not included in the zone on that camera. Love the ability to go live easily if you want to see what's going on. With the audio, there is a fair delay (estimate 3-4 seconds) when you use the audio feature and speaking back and forth on the camera. I guess this is to be expected. Battery Life: I was worried about how long batteries would last. Am very happy with it. A fully charged camera is lasting nearly 2 months on a camera that fires off many times a day because it covers my door we are in/out of all the time. I like this system so much I had my mom buy the same one (on sale) to put on her house. At full price the entry point is kind of steep but caught this on sale for $499 and feel like it is a good bargain for my money given all of its function. I would definitely pay the small monthly fee to Arlo to store your library of videos. They are easily accessible and organized very well.

The cameras are nice, simple installation and picture is acceptable but didn't work in my scenario. I returned this product after 5 days. As set up, battery Life used +10% a day, approx 100 events per day on a residential side street. If I had to guess I'd say the camera only picked up half of the motion I expected it to. Not being capable of continuous local recording is a deal breaker, especially because the motion detection is severely lacking. For continuous recording camera requires additional cords and $10/mo fee per camera for cloud recording, even then local storage is not an option. For the same cost commercial grade poe systems are available that don't rely on cloud services to function.

      Hello Mike,

Thanks for your feedback. We want to mention that the system has activity zone feature that allows you to focus the camera's motion detection to areas that you want to monitor detailed here : https://kb.arlo.com/1001908. Adjusting the sensitivity level of the camera would also help minimizing the unwanted alerts as explained here : https://kb.arlo.com/41/.

If you have further concerns, feel free to contact Arlo Support Team at https://www.arlo.com/en-us/support/contact.aspx.

Overall very good. The system uses its own wifi network, which is nice. The biggest complaint I have is the ~10 second delay notifications. It may seem minuscule but it makes a difference between someone being at your driveway and at your door. The video quality is very good, and the ease of installation make it overall worth it.

Simple to use. Good quality video. I have the 2K Which I think is high enough quality for a security door camera. No issues with Apple HomeKit. HomeKit seems faster then the native Arlo app. I was able to watch locally recorded or cloud video from the app. I don’t like that I can only be logged in on one device at a time. It made it difficult to share with my wife. I ended up having to create a guest account and sharing that so we both could view the video at the same time.

Installed the wireless camera above the garage. Wide view and great picture. Bought the 4 cameras but only installed 1, b/c it covers so much. 90 days free video storage. Then $5/mo after that. If you buy a multi camera system and don't install all at once.... you can get the 90days free on each camera. So... camera #1 for 90 days then install #2 for the next 90, then #3, and so on. Downside? I have to charge the battery once a month. I should've bought the solar panel.

So far these are okay but not as good as I expected. I have yet to be able to get them setup on apple homekit which is the main reason I bought them over the Ring systems. Additionally, on one of the cameras the battery dies ridiculously fast, even with the lowest settings and a very small active zone to monitor. This could just be something with that particular camera because the other battery lasts much longer. The video quality is good, setup is easy, and overall the app seems to work fine but there are definitely some issues with their devices. I would consider returning them due to the sizable investment I put into the Arlo products but unfortunately, I made the mistake of painting the outdoor mounts for the cameras to meet my HOA's requirements before I realized these issues.

Everything is great - I got a decent deal (I think). Setup/installation was a breeze. Quality is reasonable and as expected. What I would love Arlo to do is to offer better subscription. After 3 months trial, one has to buy it (monthly/yearly) to keep the benefits or else its just a camera without motion detection, cloud recording etc. Say what..! I have heard that you can have local storage recording but I have yet to figure the specifics out. Other than that, its worth buying.

I am very impressed with this system! I have been an Arlo user for 3 years, and this system is a nice upgrade to the pro 2 setup. From color night vision via the little but bright spotlight, to the smart motion detection, and let's not forget 2k resolution, this camera system is hard to beat. They are spendy, but worth every penny!
