I received my cameras and it’s been amazing. They’re clear and they catch everything. The set up was easy. Make sure the camera’s are charged. I have one on my garage and I feel like I can see almost my whole neighborhood. I also have the doorbell and that process was smooth as well. I’m impressed!

I love our new Arlo because I can see and hear any movement whether it be an animal or person or a vehicle on my property. What I love most about it is that there’s no cables to be run everything ‘s wireless and goes through my Wi-Fi network. I even got the solar panel attachment. Love love love my new security system!

I have been using arlo devices daily for almost three years now and I cannot say enough good things about the product. Up until now I had been using arlo pro first generation cameras and I found the system to be very useful. I am fortunate to have never caught any unwanted or suspicious activity on camera, but I have been able to see deer, raccoons wreaking havoc, and stray cats on video, some while were were thousands of miles away from home. It has also been helpful to see who is home or not home, when packages were delivered and how much care was given with them, if the garage door is closed, those are just a few examples but there are countless other ways my arlo cameras have come in handy over the years. However, with arlo having years to make improvements and coming out with this new 2k camera system, I had to upgrade and see what they have done and I am glad I did. Before I even had the cameras turned on I was already seeing improvements. The method of charging is so much better now, if someone were to choose to run an extension cord and always have their camera plugged in to stay charged, this new method is way more weatherproof and trustworthy. I have also noticed that the cameras charge much faster now and last longer, despite doing more work and picking up more than my old cameras. At first I was bummed to see that they changed the original magnetic mounting method and that I my old and new mounts would not be interchangeable with old and new cameras, but now that I have had time to hang, adjust, and re-adjust my cameras, I can see how this new, redesigned version gives you a larger range of motion and feels more secure. I am also using the ball mount, however I do not like this mount as much as it is more difficult to thread the camera on and off, especially if you have your camera mounted in an awkward or high spot. And then it is more difficult to position, seems like when you position it and go to tighten the screw, the camera moves again or there is just play in general in the mount and it is just not as accurate as the magnetic mount. Not only that, but it requires you to screw three holes into your house, siding, soffit, etc, instead of only one with the magnetic mount. I would have liked to see arlo include two magnetic mounts instead of one magnetic and one ball mount but that is just me. The biggest improvement arlo has made though is by far, the camera quality. I was so used to the 720p quality of the older cameras, and seeing what they’ve done with 2k quality is impressive. Now all of a sudden I can actually make out faces, license plates, and other details in my videos that I could not see before. The zoom function is better, the wider angle is better, the coloring is better, the night vision is better. Arlo also added an LED light to the front of the camera that can turn on once it picks up enough darkness, or you can turn that function off and turn the light on manually if you are watching and feel the need for it. This was a function I never even knew could be so awesome but it does make a difference if you want to add some light and see something better at night. Anything relating to the video quality, there are improvements and I am very impressed with it. I have included some screenshots in this review for reference. Along with the better camera quality came the ability for the camera to be more sensitive, rarely had I ever gotten squirrels to trigger enough motion for the cameras to start recording on my old cameras, but now, I am getting 8-12 videos a day of just squirrels in the area. I know they are just squirrels but it does prove just how much more these cameras can pick up on. Once I realized how much more sensitive these cameras are, I had to put to work the activity zones function the app lets you do. For example, I have been getting a lot of notifications of activity on our front porch camera due to squirrels, but once I set the activity zone to be right in front of the front door where a person would stand, I stopped getting unnecessary notifications and less pointless recordings. It is a very useful function arlo has made. Going along with that, arlo has definitely improved the app interface and user experience. When I first downloaded the app years ago, it seemed glitchy and was too complicated, there were menus or functions I could get to several different ways, there was some odd roundabout ways that took longer and more clicks to get to something simple, but arlo has really improved and simplified the user experience and I love using the app now. Another cool tool arlo improved is the manual siren function. On my first generation cameras, if I saw something suspicious on camera and wanted to alert whoever was there that they were being watched and recorded, I could turn on an alarm but it came from the base inside the house. For one, if you are inside, it is very loud for you, and depending on your home, there's a chance the intruder might not even hear it from where they are outside. The improvement arlo made was having the siren now come from the camera(s) which they are guaranteed to hear and the volume for it is just perfect. I will say, the only thing that arlo may have gone backwards on is the audio from these cameras and in the videos. On my old cameras, I could clearly hear the ticking of our gas meter, leaves rustling in the wind, cars driving by on a nearby road, and nearly no static or wind noise, it was rare to have wind noise. The audio honestly sounded amplified and felt like it was high definition. With the new cameras, that crisp sound is gone and I can no longer hear the gas meter ticking despite the camera being in the same spot as my old one. No cars driving by either, just a constant fuzzy, humming sound in the audio that covers up many noises that I know are nearby. I am thinking the sound is coming from the camera itself as it sounds like a very close by buzzing. Odd that with so many improvements arlo made, that the audio went backwards. However the video quality could make up for the downgrade in audio quality. That really is my only gripe with this Arlo Pro 3 camera system, the system is nearly flawless and is beyond useful in so many situations. It is hard to put into words but I never thought having 24/7 surveillance on our home was necessary, we live in a quiet and low crime area and do not have a big fancy house that could be a target, therefore we never saw the need in getting a system like this. However once you get used to having the ability to see what is happening in or around your home at any second, you become spoiled and want the ability to see even more. Arlo has given us piece of mind we never even knew we needed. If you are debating on upgrading your camera system or debating on getting your first one, I highly recommend the Pro 3, arlo has done a fantastic job with it.

So I will start by saying this is my second video security system. 1st was a wired 4K setup and this is now a 2k wireless setup. I prefer wired as it’s the most stable. While this Arlo pro 3 is great design wise, it has its issues. That’s where my opinions come from. So like many people say this 2 pack security system is great looking. Simple yet stylish if that matters. Also they are very small for its capabilities. The 2k video is very good. Tho not perfect. But I’m assuming that’s the wireless fault. Nothing that you will complain about but I’m picky I guess. Could have been better. I do like how these camera will literally track and follow a specific person moving in the field of view. Which is WIDE. I also like that while you can use the app to view live fields. You can also set up storage to save video locally. Great as a back up. Night vision is very clear. Now the set up is by far the best yet. It’s so easy took me about 15-20 minutes. The camera install was the hardest part and that was easy. Good job there. The app works very well too. Very easy to navigate and change almost every setting possible. Easily pairing and all. That was a great designed app for sure. Now to the things I didn’t/don’t like. -1st and the most annoying part is the time from when the camera detects something to the time you get the notification. Sometimes takes up to a min. And I have super fast internet. I know that it has to connect to the Arlo severs but come on now. We need instant access to see what’s going on. 2nd. U have to pay for the premium service. Not for me. While it has good features I think it’s a bit pricey but not too bad. 3rd is minor but still. You get like 1 million notifications. I sleep with my ringer on and I get notifications for sounds and cats and everything else. Lol. Not the end of the world but I thought I’d mention it. Overall. It’s a very good setup and a decent price point minus the subscription price. And I would recommend it. Unless you can deal with wired like myself.

I must say I was excited to test out this system. I currently have an off brand, 4 camera system and Guardzilla 360. The off-brand cameras tend to lose WIFI connection quite a bit and is very frustrating. The 360 is a nice camera, but the software interface for my android phone really needs an upgrade. This unit comes with a base unit, and in my case 2 camera’s. Setup was pretty straight forward. Simply plug in the base unit to power and Ethernet, then download the app to your phone and follow instructions. You also must install the batteries into the cameras. Mine were both around 50% full. The kit came with one magnetic mount and one screw mount, both worked well. First think I noticed once I fired these up was the clear picture. These offer 2K image quality and it looks really nice. 2K sits in between 1080p and 4K. (Alro Pro 2 is 1080p and Arlo Ultra is 4k) Phone interface also works great. Camera features: -2K Video with HDR – Great picture and color -Integrated spotlight – This light’s up your subject when they are triggered by motion. -160 Degree Viewing angle -WIFI - Stays connected and works well -2 way audio – Listen and talk to people. (short WIFI Delay) -Color Night Vision – Works well, however, my areas are lit so I turn the night vision off for even a better picture. -Magnetic Charging -Built in Smart Siren Battery life will be hard to comment on as I have been using for only about 3 days. I would say I am losing about 1.0 – 1.5% each day on the more active camera and less with the other. With that being said I predict no more than 3 months from a full charge for the more active camera, half of the 6 months they state you could get. So the battery drain will definitely depend on how often the camera is activated and probably ‘live’ viewed. My second camera which is activated much less should last much longer, but Even 3 months for an active camera I feel is pretty good. Smart phone App: Live View – You can also active the sound and spotlight though the app. Global Access Voice Controls - picture is clear and smooth, Not choppy like my other units. - I do hear wind in the audio occasionally in my case. Pretty windy area, perhaps they could work on providing a little wind protection on the mic. The other feature I want to point out is the Activity Zones. You can draw a square or rectangle in the area you want the camera to detect. This feature works really well. No more false alerts. Another feature in the software is the Auto Zoom & Tracking. This will see a person walking up your driveway let’s say, and zoom in on them and track their movement. You get a 3 month ‘Arlo Smart’ trail with your purchase. After this you would have to pay $2.99/mo. Per Camera or $9.99 / mo. For up to 10 cameras. If you don’t subscribe you will have to use an external USB connection to your hub and the only way to view the images is to connect that USB to a computer. So you really lose all the online features etc. I know I did not cover every feature, so please view the Arlo website for the, but I wanted to provide an overview on the features I have used to date. Overall a good quality security camera system that performs very well. Hope this review helped you out. Cheers!

If you're looking to add home security cameras without needing to run wires, these are tough to beat. With high quality video and great field of view combined with some great software, it's a great experience all around. Setup will take just a matter of minutes. No need to run power to the cameras, as they'll last for months on a single charge. You also get excellent motion detection and useful notifications on your phone (that include a photo of what was captured). All very useful, and it's clear that thought was put into these. The ability to set "zones" so you can even determine where in the camera's wide field of view motion was detected. If you choose, you can add additional detection features (though these do cost a minor monthly fee). I'm impressed with the detail these are able to capture in such a small package. They also look like a high quality product, and don't look like a cheap product stuck to your house. Two-way communication and the spot light round out some other great features. The removable battery is a nice touch as well. That way, if the batter does ever start having a shorter life span, you could just swap it out, instead of replacing the entire camera. I do wish they package came with two of the magnetic mounts. It comes with one magnetic mount, and one pivot mount. The magnetic one is so versatile though. Positioning and adjustments are very easy. Pros: Excellent quality video, extremely easy to set up, great app and software, removable battery Cons: only a single magnetic mount

Easy Setup, Great Features, Long Battery Life

Pros: * Great video quality. * Simple setup. * Useful and Flexible features. * Easy to use app. * Long battery life. Cons: * Not inexpensive. * Base hub is not compatible with my other Arlo products. My Review: My first experience with Arlo products was their Security Lights. While they work great, and their battery life is excellent, the setup was very finicky and the settings within their app were not exceedingly clear. My experiences thus far with the Arlo Pro 3 Security Cameras are similar for how well they work, but night-and-day (pun intended) for how easy they are to set up and use. In fact, initial setup was so easy that I was surprised it was done so soon. Plug the hub into power and ethernet, then fire up the app. It was that easy. Setting up the Security Lights was cumbersome. Setting up the Arlo Pro 3 cameras was brain-dead simple. I inserted the partially-charged batteries into the two cameras and after setting up the hub, the app asked if I wanted to also set up my 2 cameras. Done. The app even gives you a good idea for how strong the video quality is based on wireless signal from the camera to the hub. Nice! The design of these cameras is really nice, too. They have an outer shell that the “guts” of the camera slide into to keep everything contained and water-tight. The shell is what is mounted and you can easily separate the two to swap out a charged battery without disturbing the mounting position. If you just want to leave the battery inserted and charge with the supplied cable, you will have remove the camera with housing from the mount unless the provided magnetically-coupled cable reaches easily for the duration of charging the camera’s battery. Each camera has a microphone and speaker for 2-way communications, a bright spotlight for better illumination, the camera (of course) and a wide-angle motion sensor. The app even noticed that I already had the Security Lights configured and offered to set up some synergy between the lights and the cameras. Setting up the motion zones, the video quality, notifications, etc. was all easy, and the video quality both during the day and at night was amazing. Another nice feature is that while all the video can go to the cloud for storage, analysis and easy access, you can also plug in a storage device to the hub for local file storage in place of or in addition to the cloud. While the app integrates both the Pro 3 Cameras and the Security Lights together, the hubs for each are completely separate. It would have been nice to eliminate the Security Light hub (I need two for proper coverage) and the Camera hub, but at least the app controls both seamlessly. Overall, these security cameras may not be the least expensive options, but the video quality, features and design definitely make them worth spending a bit more money on.

Well, this Arlo Pro 3 - 2k HDR system is a serious disappointment! The resolution is sooooo incredibly bad, especially at night!!! My Pro 2 camera resolution is much better than this junk! The night resolution looks so grainy and pixelated that you can’t even tell what kind of car passed by! And no it’s not a bandwidth issue, signal is super strong. So much halo effect in night vision mode! Changing brightness & contrast doesn’t help at all! I will be taking these back!!! Think it’s time to purchase a Lorex System! Also, always get the warranty on any Arlo camera’s because in my experience they always die within 2 yrs...... Image posted, cam has night vision turned off, Auto HDR on. 2k live streaming off, auto zoom & tracking off.

The video often has a recording defect where it only records color stripes. The tracking system is not very good because it de-centralizes from the target if there is another movement in the area. Confused people with animals and vehicles. It is not that good for the price. The battery time is better in this model.

I bought this because we have a winter home in Arizona and want it protected. Arlo has all these settings that you can choose from. I turned off the vehicle ,animal, and “other” motion setting. All that was on was “people” alert. I get about 500 alerts a day- the wind will set it off and I still get car alerts. I don’t think they have it accurate enough yet. All support is in a foreign country.

I’m compelled to write this review because there are simply not enough bad reviews of this product. I’m going to start with the negatives and I’ll end with the positives. Cons: 1. Hub will randomly go offline and there is no notification or mechanism to notify me that my cameras are offline. 2. Motion detection and live stream lags. If someone or something is fast enough, the camera will not catch it. 3. This camera is NOT meant for cold climates. On the first cold day in Colorado, 2 of my 4 cameras said they needed to warm up before they would work. While I understand it, it’s not acceptable for home security to fail when it gets cold. 4. The batteries need recharging frequently and requires pulling the whole camera down (cumbersome for higher placed cameras). Pros: 1. Easy installation 2. Day and night video quality is good 3. Built in spotlight is bright

My outdoor cameras are going through a Polar Vortex. The temperature has been below zero for 36 hours. We bottomed out at -17F. My cameras are not responding because they are too cold. These temperatures are rare, but they are the reason snow birds like to keep track of what is happening at home while they are away in warmer places. I have no one to "warm-up" the cameras. Not sure when they will come back on. Let's hope the bad guys are also to cold to try anything.

My hub stopped linking with the hub. You must have all the details about your unit to get anywhere. You have to wade through model numbers to see any instructions. I filed a case. I again got a list of things I needed to get support. In the end I told the support team to go away I’m not physically able to get on the floor do anything. I have assumed the loss of $550 and will try again when able. The process in getting help in mind numbing. The manual is awful. I need them because I’m 70 and I was assaulted and I have be aware of my surroundings. I am not safe without security cameras. I left your cameras up for the appearance of security. Until I’m able to get the cameras reinstalled they are in a basket with other tech junk I lost money on. Who knows if there is a problem with the hub? I’ve assumed a $550 loss I can’t recover. I have highly rated cameras, with awful support when things go wrong. I am an old dude with a loss $550 from my retirement funds. Not likely, but sending in geek squad to fix this would make me happy. I’m 70 and tech savvy. In a way you abused an old tech dude wrestling to get your product up and running. Nice job Arlo! I did what you asked and my system is still useless.

I actually engaged the services of someone to mount my four cameras on the outside of my home. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! The quality of the picture is beyond horrible! The pictures are totally fuzzy. The night vision in B&W is a little better (certainly not near as clear as my Arlo Pro cameras) and when you switch to color, it gets worse! There is a good 30-45 second lag with loading the cameras v. the Arlo Pro. I could not be more disappointed. FURTHER, THE RECORDED VIDEOS CANNOT BE REPLAYED ON YOUR COMPUTER! These are going back and I now have to pay this person to (1) remove the cameras and (2) install new cameras. Had I known this, I would have hired ADT!

Security is vital in this day and age. I don’t think a week goes by where I don't see a story on the national news about someone who was helped by a video doorbell. I’ve had a video doorbell as a part of my security system for many years now and as nice as it is, it’s helpful to also have a few strategically placed WiFi cameras throughout my home. I find that Arlo’s system is the most user-friendly robust option in the market and their newest system -- the Arlo Pro 3 is a nice step up from their previous generation of cameras. Arlo provides a lot in the box including the Arlo SmartHub, Pro 3 Wire-free Cameras, their rechargeable batteries, the SmartHub power adapter, ethernet cable, mounts, the camera charging cable, and camera power adapter. Even though all the pieces in the box can seem intimidating, it’s a relatively simple system to set up. You first connect the SmartHub to power and your internet source using the provided ethernet cable. Then you download the Arlo app and follow set-up instructions for the system. You will also have to insert the batteries into the cameras and ensure they are charged. You can place the mounts wherever you would like. Arlo also includes the mounting hardware for the mounts. The one thing that strikes me as odd with the mounts is that Arlo only provides one of each style of mount. Since I got a system with 2 cameras, I found it odd that I wouldn’t be allowed to mount them both the same way. The cameras attach to the mounts using either magnets or by being screwed into them. With my Arlo Pro 2 system, I actually just found places to mount the cameras using the magnets, which is another option. The only downside to this is that the camera can be easily removed from its mount -- and even stolen. The app does walk you through the set-up of the SmartHub quite simply. Once you connect it to power and the internet, it will likely have a firmware update to complete. I had to do this step and it took approximately 5-7 minutes. Once the hub is set-up, you can start adding cameras. One of the things I was most excited about with this hub is that I was able to add the Arlo Pro 2 cameras to it as well. This was a great benefit to my household since it meant that we wouldn’t have to keep both hubs connected. I didn’t have any issues with connecting the old and new cameras. The hub automatically recognized the new ones and I only had to press the ‘sync’ buttons on the older cameras in order for the hub to connect to them. All in all, it took about 30 minutes to have the entire system set-up -- that includes firmware updates. Another change that Arlo made with this system is how the cameras charge. The Arlo Pro 2 cameras used Micro USB, which I typically feel is outdated technology these days, but Arlo changed it to be a proprietary magnetic charging cable that is unique to this system. I would much rather see the cameras charge using something more universal like USB-C. I don’t like unique charging cables because if they get lost you have no way to charge your device. Video quality is amazing. I used one of the cameras to monitor our puppy while he was in his playpen. He’s a crafty little guy and knows how to get out of tight places so we keep a close eye on him when we are in a separate room from him. The Arlo Pro 3 camera was an ideal option since it gave us a perfectly clear image of him. These cameras work great not only for monitoring entryways and spaces but also for places like nurseries. I love these cameras because of the easy set-up and the quality video it provides. They are incredibly flexible in how you decide to use them and that makes them an ideal choice for many different uses. Arlo is my go-to when it comes to wireless cameras for my home.

The Arlo - Pro 3 2-Camera Indoor/Outdoor Wire-Free 2K HDR Security Camera System is our newest addition to our Arlo family of cameras. We have been using Arlo cameras for 3 or 4 years now and when we updated to these the older cameras are completely compatible with the new base and the new ones compatible with the old base. A new service has been added by Arlo, Arlo Smart. Your Arlo camera comes with a rolling 7 days of cloud recording. But if you want to keep your videos around longer and get the best Arlo experience, upgrade your plan with Arlo Smart’s advanced AI features to get personalized notifications and additional peace of mind. The video quality of these cameras is exceptional and being wireless has its advantages as well as disadvantages. Advantage: No wires to run. Disadvantage: Must recharge them and have a good WiFi signal to and from camera. The battery life in our older Arlo Cameras that have only one or two activations a day routinely last several months before needing recharged. Two way audio can also be used on the cameras as well as the spotlight. Day and night vision is better on Arlo than on other cameras we have used in the past. The day vision is especially awesome. The motion detection sensitivity is adjustable to meet your specific needs. One magnetic mount and one screw mount is included with this set and more of each is available to purchase if your prefer one over the other. My personal preference for outside is the screw mount and the older ones we have that we moved inside, I use the magnetic mounts that were provided with them. Setup and mount is a super easy process, allow less than an hour for initial setup, which you will probably adjust over time as you discover exactly where and how you want to use the cameras. I find them to be a very trouble free and dependable option to give yourself a great deal of peace of mind by looking in on the house while away or seeing who is on the porch, driveway, basement, etc depending on where the cameras are located. I find speaking with someone on the porch knocking on the door to be especially useful. Its easy to screen who is out there and then decide if you want to talk to them or not without opening the door, leaving your chair or bed or even being home. (And they will not know the difference if your not there.) While the old cameras are still up and running just fine these are the next generation and even better.
