When Arlo first came out, it was a free service and the cameras were decent for their time. However, there are now better options and these cameras tend to go off on their own with no movement. They just detect nothing and alarm. Many other options have come out and there are some that I would suggest over Arlo. I had the original Arlo pro and thought these would be better, but they are actually worse and glitch.

These cameras are good for general security camera coverage around the house. Get the 4K version if you need greater detail. I like having no wires to install, the batteries last a few weeks which isn't too hard to swap out and charge. Note that the "advanced features" require a monthly subscription.

I have had these a week, love this camera. Can play a noise (siren), turn on a spot light on the camera. The app provides phone notifications of: person, animal, motion... the only issue to look at a video, it says "Buffering" - so I just download the video if I want to review it. Easy set up! Many options to set up. 2K video is nice and clear. I plan on mounting these 3 cameras to my house but in the mean time, I mounted them to the end of a 2" x 3" piece of wood and just extend out the bottom of my window and fill in the gap with thick bubble wrap. I put in tall wood screws and those are raised and I close the window so the nails keep the camera from falling out the window. Was nice because when it rains, there are drops on the camera. I could easily bring in the cameras, wipe off the lense and back out the window they go. I'm going to McGyver something to put on the top of the cameras to keep the raindrops off. Cameras were on sale too at the time I bought them. I even use them inside - past the glass and you can barely see there's a camera. Highly recommend these.

Bought these cameras for surveillance around the house, great quality and picture! The only downside is the constant charging of the battery pack.

List of pros and cons below Pro -great picture quality overall Cons -battery life is horrendous so unless you want to keep pulling them down to chage them you are forced to buy each camera a solar power station which is pricy -wireless system is spotty and cameras constantly go down making you have to take them down and reconnect or wait on hold for 45 minutes to get them rebooted. Even with the highest speed internet which forces you to buy a home station to connect to your wifi to give the cameras their own uninterrupted connection which is also expensive. FYI All these problems i have addressed to find a solution with on the phone support but have had no luck. I took all the necessary steps with distancing, angles, power save mode and so on but nothing. Im currently down a camera that i cant get to stay up because if all 3 are running then 1 drops from "signal interface" as they THINK it may be. It sucks feeling sucked into spending more and more money on all these added attachments just to get things to work how they shohld without.

They are great only thing is don’t expect the battery to last long if your in a hight traffic area. I do have them at max resolution and max quality/ who wouldn’t lol that also is my problome but they are in my retail store so capturing tons of clips and I get pry about a week at max with them. However there easy to charge so it is what it is..also keep your eyes peeled as they go on sale a lot at Best Buy I got lucky and got them after the holidays for 350 wich is a steal if you ask me…600 doesn’t sound as good to me but still fair

These cameras are the best of the best. They are so easy to set up and use and incredible battery life. Also the smart features are great as far as filtering what motion alerts trigger notifications on your phone. I love everything about it. The night vision is great and it picks up audio very clearly.

It doesn't capture everything. For instance, a neighbor dropped off a fruit cake right in front of the camera but it didn't capture it. So, I was left guessing which neighbor dropped it off. I've had it for about a year now, and the batteries are starting to run out quickly.

The Install was super easy and the app is very user friendly. Unfortunately we didn’t do enough research before purchasing and have learned that because these are battery operated, they will technically not be functional in climates below -14. These are way too expensive to be useless during our harsh winter months which is a huge bummer because we do really like these cameras. We highly recommend these for anyone who lives in warmer climates!

Nice system, easy to set up and mount where needed, and for the most part easy to program. Now for the bad…I’ve tried over and over to set it to use the zone feature so we done get the cars driving by (no luck), tried to turn off notifications for vehicles and on certain cameras no motion (no luck). All in all I’m happy but the bad affects the battery life so every 3 or 4 days I’m replacing the battery. Good charger and it easy to do so there is that. I haven’t upgraded to the solar charger yet.

I researched security cameras and found that Arlo had the highest ratings over multiple years. I have not had any other outdoor camera, so I have no way to compare Arlo's performance with anything else. It did take a while to get the cameras set up and connected to our Alexa, but now that they are functional, I love the system because I can get audible alerts. I am still having issues with the camera picking up animals even though I have deselected that option on settings, but I am pleased with the video quality of the camera.

Typical Arlo stuff. Good cameras, decent battery life and good software/services. The one thing I didn't like was the fact that the housings have a fixed mount on the back. I've seen other Pro 4 cameras (Sam's Club) that have the old magnet on the back with the screw mount on the bottom which makes mounting way more versatile. Other than that, excellent value.

Great Picture, Bad Battery Life I get about 3 weeks, on a camera hanging above my garage at the front door. I don't know how they say it gets a much longer battery life maybe if it is an area which it never has to record.

I recently took my new Pro 4 out of the box. It was easy to add to my network. The video is excellent, it captures a broad swath across my front yard and beyond. I will add more info after I add the remaining two cameras and test in rain and night conditions.
