Overall, a great exterior video security system. There is some lag between the camera detection, notifications, and video loading. That could be my internet, but each camera has the same delay regardless of the distance from my wifi router.

This truly is the most useless security system I've ever had. I have had experience with Vivint and ADT but was looking for something without the monthly fee. I bought these on the advice from a friend but wish I hadn't. I am constantly losing connectivity to them, even though my WiFi is reliable and well within range. The most comically infuriating aspect of these is they seem to lose connectivity when I receive a notification that there is an even that was captured. So I know there was an event, I just can't see the event. I have the base station backup that is also laughably unreliable, but that's a story for a separate review... Bottom line, I can't recommend these cameras to anyone who actually wants a reliable security system. The cameras themselves might deter some crime by their very presence, but I have to say, if I was looking to burgle a home, if I saw the sign that said, "Protected by Arlo" I would probably burgle that residence.
