Then 71/2 hours go by and the tech calls to come over to install, my husband was so upset that they waisted all that time on his day off they he told the tech to forget it and went to get a refund. Best has lost our business. There’s no excuse for that, they had to know looking at their jobs that they weren’t showing up at 7:30 am. Our job was 3 simple cameras to be installed on the outside of our house. 7 1/2 hours is ridiculous.

SUBSCRIPTION NEEDED!

I bought this because the description said that it would record locally and a subscription was not required. Now that my 3 month trial ended, I can't see any of my recordings. Of course, it is now past the return period as well. My only option is to pay for the monthly subscription which is the only reason why I chose Arlo over other security cameras. I don't need all those features. The system is expensive enough. Since my trial ended, I'm now having problems with my other Arlo Pro 2 recordings. They are now sporadic! It seems to really have messed up my entire system. The camera seemed to be perform well if you pay for the subscription.

All wire-free cameras can record to local storage, with no Arlo Subscription. An Arlo base station or the SmartHub are required, you can find more info here: https://kb.arlo.com/1146857.

Returned item for easy Best Buy refund. Item looks great and is sold at a fair price, but unable to install batteries making it impossible to use. Suggest a design change. Covers are pressure fitted.
