Buyer Beware, No Customer Service

My camera was non-functional, in need of recharge, 2months after it was online. I had fully charged the battery before deployment. Deal breaker for me is the fact that there is no such thing as customer service at Arlo. They have a technical support team, who apparently can "escalate to internal teams" for review, and after weeks passing without reply, you can reach back out to hear somehow the issue you are experiencing is your fault. I received the 3 camera bundle, and one of the three cameras was defective out of the box. After calling tech support, I was provided a link to complete the RMA, which oddly required me to pay out of pocket to ship the defective unit. They waited to receive my defective camera, before shipping me the replacement camera. The replacement camera came in a new housing, with a different release mechanism. The new housing did not interface my existing mount. No instructions on how to eject the long awaited replacement camera, so that I could finally get up and running, just an implied "good luck."

Battery last a week

Rendered completely useless. before it died the motion detection was good, The quality couldn’t complain but this battery is terrible , It turns out my return window closed 2 days and idk if it’s a battery issue or camera issue, Either way I’m not satisfied.

Posted .The Arlo Pro 4 Wireless Security Camera battery lasts up to 6 months with Average use. Average use assumes that you are using Optimized or Best Battery Life video settings and that your cameras record for approximately five minutes per day. Too many triggers such as heavy traffic may cause the battery to drain much more rapidly. You can try adjusting your cameras positioning to lowering the sensitivity to a desired level to help with unwanted motion detection. Range may also affect the cameras battery performance. Having the device too far away from the Smart Hub or Router may have a negative affect on the battery performance. You can place your Arlo camera Hi Mikey, a maximum of 300 feet (90 meters) from the SmartHub or base station. The maximum line-of-sight range of 300 feet is reduced by each wall, ceiling, or other major obstruction between the camera and base station. The following materials reduce signal strength the most:
Large quantities of water, such as the water in a fish tank or water heater, Metal, Glass, especially, mirrors, Ceramic, Stone, Concrete, Brick, Unusually thick walls and ceilings. Regards, Arlo Team
