Potential downside is that if power to your router or modem goes out, you won’t be able to receive mobile / remote notifications that something triggered the motion detection.

I do use the features that it offers and bought the dual charger as well. I have been using it a month. Usage of the battery doesn’t last according to what is stated on the instructions. If ARLO can up with longer lasting battery or update their literature... Thank you. Hp

I love how they come with an extra battery. I do not have be without a camera while the "spare" battery is charging.
