Purchased for better quality videos. Videos would be great if we weren’t changing batteries daily, went and got solar panel and that only lasted 2-3 days before we had 12% battery life. Complete waste of money.

Missing Smart Hub! This entire set did not come with smart hub. You must buy separate smart hub from Amazon. Arlo do not and did not have on their website. I am debating if should returned within 60 days with Bestbuy membership. By the way- I was returned to bestbuy in Braintree, MA but they told me the one I got from Bestbuy purchased invoice was Arlo Pro 4, but the one Bestbuy representative handed to me is Arlo - Pro 5. So I must go back to Salem, NH for any returning for full credit. Bestbuy rept. checked me out with a better one than on my actual purchased invoice. You must pay for subscription for these camera to work properly without smart hub that cost $150 from someone else online. What else do I need to say in here. Bestbuy employees did not doing a good job in many locations: Southbay- Dorchester, MA. Salem, NH.

We have a security problem so we installed these cameras hoping to solve it. Selling point was 3 months of battery life before needing to recharge, and wireless performance/communication with our iPhones using WiFi. We got about 3.5 DAYS of battery life before needing to take the cameras down to recharge, leaving us without security. The cameras have a glitchy and useless recording performance (the cameras record at really odd intervals for about 5 seconds whenever they feel like it) and ignore nearly everything, so what we needed to have captured "on film" never was. We set them for motion alerts, trying to get them to record activities, but again, they didn't. For whatever reason, the cameras like to drop their connection to our WiFi, thus making them useless because they cannot communicate when they can't find their signal. All-in-all I deeply regret the purchase and have since replaced the system with a better one. Best Buy led us to this system when my husband went in to discuss our particular needs. We were assured this was the system for us... When we tried to return the system we were two days outside of the return timeframe. Instead of taking this useless system back and retaining a customer, Best Buy told us to pound sand and to take our issues up with Arlo's warranty department. THAT'S service, right?

I had to return my original purchase because of audio issues with both cameras. I exchanged for the same product. So far,no issues with the new cameras.

It really like this camera system. It is high quality, sharp picture, and it connects to WiFi versus a smart hub. Obviously the quality and reliability of this camera system is dependent on your WiFi strength. One word of advice: if you are interested in Arlo’s 24/7 CVR monthly continuous recording service, you will need to purchase a separate Smart Hub to make it happen. For the cost of this package, it should have been included.

The performance of the cameras is great! The battery life is not. I got the solar panels, and even with those, if you don’t have them in full sun, the batteries run down. If you have the option, get hard-wired cameras. If that’s not possible, these will work. Just be aware of the limitations. I am still recommending them, because they work for me, but they do have some shortcomings.
