This security camera has all the features, beautiful design, and competitive pricing, hence a must consider before making a security camera purchase. I own Lorex, Philips Hue, Swann , Google cameras, but my choice for all around feature laden "value" is the Arlo Pro 1 w 2K resolution, HDR imagery. First: the camera itself is compact, light weight, extremely easy to mount anywhere, ultra portable for relocating or transporting and using when traveling, and the rechargeable battery easily provides a month of power without needing a recharge (which is quick and easy). Though higher resolution 4K cameras are available at higher price points, I have found the 2K resolution with zoom, zone control, face and package recognition, night time views, sharp bright color video to be more than adequate. The built-in spotlight is powerful with a bright broad beam, the microphone that enable 2 way communication is sensitive and clear for conversation. I have a need for video storage as I travel, and am not able to scrutinize video in realtime, when I receive alerts. Arlo has an excellent subscription plan for those who desire to store video for up to 60 days (this is optional, of course). it is important to realize that the camera is only 1 component of security, i.e., the accompanying software application is the engine that drives all features, and the ARLO application is superb. Virtually a 5 minute learning curve tutorial in the app, and you are familiar the features and may turn them on or off. The app makes it easy to pair up with Alexa, google, Siri, etc. Though I have not had a need for support, Arlo has an excellent reputation earned over many years. I receive alerts on my Apple iPhone, and on my Apple watch (the image is small but quite good on my watch). I unhesitatingly recommend the Arlo Pro 1 with 2K HDR wireless camera security system.

Finally Arlo listens to the customer! I have had multiple Arlo cameras throughout the years and the biggest problem has always been with charging them. It was always a pain trying to get the old Arlo cameras to charge via the mini USB charger. Often times, I would not be able to charge them at all. The only way to get a proper charge was by buying the standalone battery pack charger, which required an extra expense to an already expensive camera system. Well...the days of the mini USB issues are finally over!! The Arlo - Pro 1-Camera Wireless 2K Security Camera (6th Gen) now has a USB-c charging port. I am now able to charge my camera without buying a standalone battery charger. If you owned an Arlo camera in the past, or present, you know the headache with charging the old units. My biggest issue was that I could not make use of solar panel charging on the old cameras because of the mini usb cocnnection. This sucks A LOT!! Aside from that tremendous upgrade, the video quality continues to be great. The Arlo - Pro 1-Camera Wireless 2K Security Camera (6th Gen) is easy to setup and you DO NOT need a base station for this camera. Another added bonus. Another great upgrade is the camera mount. No more magnetic mounts that will allow a thief/intruder to easily snatch the camera in a second. You actually get a screw on mount with this camera. Finally!! Looks like Arlo is finally listening to its customers. I would highly recommend the Arlo - Pro 1-Camera Wireless 2K Security Camera (6th Gen).

After adding the Arlo Pro 2k camera to my existing Arlo Pro Bundle setup, I noticed a real improvement in coverage around my home. The Pro 2k camera fit right in with the system, and setup was just as simple and quick as my original bundle. The 2K resolution is impressive. Images are crisp and clear, both during the day and at night. I was especially happy with how well the camera’s night vision and security light illuminated my backyard, making it easy to see details even in complete darkness. My wife also pointed out that the Pro 2k camera’s video quality is noticeably sharper than our earlier cameras. I’m really pleased with the performance of Pro 2k camera as an add-on. The Arlo app manages all the cameras seamlessly, and I keep getting fast notifications anytime there’s motion. Adding the Pro 2k camera to my system was hassle-free. It took hardly any time. I still like that if you already have an Arlo unlimited subscription you do not need to pay extra for the additional cameras, which is nice so I can cover more of my home without added monthly costs. Overall, I’m really satisfied with how the Arlo Pro 2K camera looks and performs as part of my Arlo system. Even with the monthly storage fee, the features and image quality are worth it to me. The motion alerts are accurate and helpful, distinguishing between people, cars, and pets, so I’m only notified when something important actually happens.

I finally broke down and got the Arlo Pro, mostly because I just wanted a little peace of mind when I'm away from the house, and honestly, setting it up was so much easier than I expected. Seriously, I’m not a tech person at all, but getting this one camera connected to the little base station and then mounted outside took maybe twenty minutes, total. The fact that it’s completely wire-free is the biggest selling point for me; I didn’t have to run any cables or drill huge holes in the wall, which my landlord definitely appreciates. The app itself is pretty straightforward, too. When I get a notification—which sometimes happens when a squirrel runs by, admittedly—it’s super quick to tap into the live feed and see what’s going on. The video quality is perfectly fine for seeing faces or identifying cars, even at night thanks to the night vision, which casts a decent light over the immediate area. The two-way audio is also a nice touch if you need to tell the delivery guy where to put a package, or just scare off a sneaky raccoon. The biggest drawback, and it’s a noticeable one, is the battery life. While it's rechargeable, it doesn't last as long as I hoped, especially when it’s cold outside or if there’s a lot of activity happening, so I find myself taking it down to charge every few weeks, which is a minor annoyance you have to factor in, especially since you have to climb a ladder to get it. On the flip side, the free cloud storage is absolutely fantastic. Being able to go back and check the last seven days of recordings without paying a monthly fee makes this system a real winner for basic home monitoring, and that alone justifies the price for me. It’s certainly not a perfect, high-end professional system that can capture license plate numbers from 50 feet away, but for someone who just wants a simple, effective, and truly wireless camera to keep an eye on things without a massive commitment or constant fees, the Arlo Pro is exactly what you need. It gives you the basics done right, and that’s really all I ever wanted from it, which makes me recommend it without hesitation for everyday use.

The Arlo Pro Wireless 2k Camera is a fantastic addition to an already existing Arlo security setup.. Unboxing- The Arlo camera comes well packaged and is easy overall to put together. It comes with the camera, battery, the mounting arm, and the mounting bracket. It also includes the charging cable only (no wall plug) that is usb to usb-c. It is only about 3 feet in length so if you want to leave it wired so it is powered all the time, you will probably need to buy a longer cable. It also comes with an Arlo sticker with the paperwork. Setup- During setup, you will need to install the battery into the camera, in which you need to remove the camera body by pushing the button on the bottom, and the cover will slide off. After putting the battery in, the camera will start flashing blue on the front, but will eventually stop. Right after you are supposed to charge the battery the rest of the way up. I found it a bit confusing during charging because no lights would be on during the charge, and a solid blue light comes on when it is fully charged, but I noticed it shut back off after some time. The usb-c plug is on the bottom of the camera as well, which can be a better design than their older cameras where the plug in was on the back of the camera. After charged, you will then add the camera to the arlo app (if you already have an Arlo home base). Mounting the arm to the wall is an easy process and can be secured with 3 mounting screws and it also includes anchors for drywall. The rotating arm clamps down onto the base mount and then screws into the back of the camera shell. Once the camera is mounted, everything else it taken care of in the app. When searching for the camera in the app, be sure to select the "Pro 6th Gen (USB-C on the bottom)". It can be a bit confusing with all of the camera models and it tripped me up because the box only says "Pro". It won't find any camera if you do not pick that specific model. After connecting, you can view and name your camera. You will then be able to set up notifications, set different camera settings, and set up motion zones for recording. The camera itself has a very bright spot light built in at the top, and also comes with a speaker and microphone for audio in and being able to talk through the camera from the app as well. It functions very nice and is much more responsive than my older Arlo cameras. The clarity is outstanding. It has very clear and crisp video and the 2K scaling and HDR make the video give a great amount of detail. It is a clear night and day difference with my older Arlo cameras to this one. Overall, I love this camera and has been such a fantastic upgrade. Besides the confusing with finding the right camera in the list on the app, it has been a flawless experience and highly recommend Arlo cameras to anyone looking for a great wireless system. Battery use has been about normal, and it mostly depends how many times the motion is triggered and how often it is recording. Mine typically needs charged once a week, although I have mine indoors and will be looking to keep it plugged in permanently.

Sent from my Galaxy The all new 2025 Arlo pro outdoor 2k HDR 6th generation security camera has the same crisp white and black sleek appearance that Arlo is known for. The tuxedo of security cams. I've always been a fan of Arlos build quality and feel. They don't look or feel cheap in any way, and have a good weight to them. This version has 2k video resolution, with a field of view of 160 degrees, also having night vision and being rechargeable makes this a really attractive package for anyone looking to add a security camera for peace of mind. Of course you can control it with the Arlo app, Alexa, Samsung Smart Things (which I love and controls so many products all in one application) and both Apple and Google home. The motion detection is about 25 feet. It'll connect through 2.4 GHz or 5.0 GHz. Side note one of my other Arlo cams would never reconnect after having to reset my Wi-Fi password. So I'm hoping that issue doesn't carry over to this model.  The app is great and easy to use. The clarity and color look great as well as the night vision. You can digitally zoom but this is a stationary camera so be sure to set the viewing angle as you're installing it. Great little camera ! I'd highly recommend it to others

    Solves The Wrong Problem

Arlo’s new Pro 6th generation outdoor security camera provides minimally increased video in a device that fails to address serious drawbacks for a wireless camera designed to be mounted outside. The camera can only be wireless using battery power but Arlo continues to make battery charging an insane obstacle to camera use. I have to assume that Arlo is aware of their problem here because they print misleading (at best) information in two places on the box the camera comes in: (1) “Easily Recharge & Swap Batteries” (2) “Easily swap out the battery for a fully charged one so you always stay protected” Let me clarify. This system only includes a SINGLE battery – not sure if that is clear unless you read the list of “What’s Inside” on the bottom of the box. The larger problem I have with the language Arlo uses to describe the recharging process is that I get the impression that the individual batteries can be recharged outside of the device – but, in fact, the only way to recharge a battery is with it mounted inside the camera mechanism. The outer body of the camera can stay mounted while you remove the internal camera to take inside and charge (even the charging cable is identified as an INDOOR charging cable). Therefore, even if you purchase a second backup battery, you still need to take the camera inside and offline to recharge that battery – not too sure how this saves time over simply charging the single included battery. Batteries that charge directly are ancient technology now – why can’t Arlo implement this? My other big gripe with Arlo in general is that I feel like advances to camera/battery technology seem to take the backseat to subscription services. Live view, push motion notifications, two way audio, manual siren/spotlight control, and local device settings remain available without a subscription – clearly the motion notifications would be the selling point if you need a no-frills security setup. More advanced features like cloud video history (60 day), AI object detection (person, vehicle, package, animal), custom activity zones, event captions / video search, interactive notifications, and 24/7 emergency / professional monitoring are gated behind Arlo Secure plans (various tiers and pricing). I would recommend checking out the pricing for these services first before deciding on an Arlo camera.
