Not a good surveillance system. The cameras will not record when detecting motion only alert you. You have to log into the system and manually record when it's too late. I have lost thousands of dollars to people stealing from me and the cameras caught nothing. I would rate this a zero if possible

Decent performance. Decent battery life. Good image quality Lag on motion detection. Starts recording generally about 3 seconds after motion started. No audio. No local recording even though it's clearly just a firmware upgrade away. They kept this for the Pro version that is almost twice as expensive.

Got robbed - Arlo didnt record

I have had these cameras for 2 months now. On Saturday I was robbed and Arlo didn't record a second of it. These cameras do not pick up motion unless it is incredibly close to the sensor. The worst part of this system is honestly the customer service. I was on the phone last night with Arlo for 2 hours where someone with poor English tried to test my camera. After 2 hours they agreed the camera was faulty, and agreed to a replacement camera. Guess what, they will only send a camera when YOU the buyer ships the defective camera to their warehouse, and YOU PAY the shipping cost. Only after this they will contemplate whether to send a replacement. Save your money and go with a better system. This is the first review I have ever written, but wanted to raise this in case Arlo sees this / to save other buyers the trouble. I am stuck with a faulty camera and my property stolen.
