I have been wanting a doorbell camera and have used Arlo for many years with my outdoor cameras. I bought the Arlo doorbell camera and it was very easy to install, and the footage looks good, and easy to use.

Love this doorbell system. Previously had a ring camera, but switched to Arlo camera system (recommended), so added the Arlo doorbell camera as well. Easy connection, long lasting battery and high quality video. Only drawback is the subscription charges I pay for my Arlo ecosystem, but I believe the Doorbell can be used as a standalone, without additional monthly fees.

I love the Arlo 2K doorbell camera! I originally had the Arlo Essential Doorbell, The 2K video quality is superb! Even at night! The installation was easy. Very satisfied with this purchase!

Works well. I can see the person at my front door very well. It let you know when someone rings the bell on your cell phone.

Honestly, I perfer the original first generation hardwired. This unit doesnt offer the 3 second lookback and the trigger range is a much smaller distance. The video in the apps seems much darker than all of my cameras, so much i had to check if maybe I left the film on but nope. The hardwire doesnt give the unit constant power just keeps a trickle charge to the battery. The battery life seemd decent but why hardwire if its missing the best features. I have a mechanical chime and had to redo the wires and still a hit or miss if the bell rings. As long as you hit it in the dead center the bell rings but catch the end of the button and it doesnt ring. If i didnt have the original doorbell maybe i would have liked this one more. Got.spoiled with the hardwire unit.

It is very easy to use and install comapred to the previous generation. The quality of the video is very good and the alerts are almost instantaneous.

Purchased on the basis that it can be hardwired after my 1st Gen gave out. Not really. Hooked it up as per instructions and set up to my specs, and the battery was drained from 100% to 10% within 3 days at the most. After numerous conversations with Arlo over the span of 3 days, turns out that this camera although states on the box "wireless or wired", is not really hardwired but gives a trickle charge once it hits a certain percentage and never really keeps the internal battery fully charged. I did like the 2K picture at night, but no matter what sensitivity setting, it hardly picked up any motion eventhough my other Arlo camera(s) picked up motion in the same area(s). The reason I went with the 2nd Gen video doorbell was due to my 1st Gen giving out. After searching the web, I did find another and new to boot 1st Gen and truly wired video doorbell. So if you want to upgrade to the 2nd Gen, be warned that it is NOT a truly wired video doorbell. I've been with Arlo since the original Arlo cameras came out and have tried all the variations up through this video doorbell, and the newer models just don't stack up to the original cameras. This is only my opinion, and other people may have had better luck, but this has been a big disappointment from Arlo.

This camera has great view and video resolution. Last night it recorded a deer at my front pourch at 2 AM. Great pics in daylight also

Love the ease of setting it up! I previously owned the audio doorbell and a separate camera so it's nice to have it combined. Hopefully the battery life is good since it has to be charged versus replacing the batteries!
