The "4K" quality is not true in any way the recordings are done. You can stick a MicroSD card in there and the quality is still not good enough. Can't pick up details at a distance which brings up the question of why have it in the first place. The setup process is terrible. Two of the cameras had trouble syncing to the base when I placed them next to the base itself. When inserting the MicroSD card into the base, I get a message saying I need to format the card. I follow the instructions to format it from the app itself and the button to do it disabled. Battery life is terrible and should be expected since you can see how small they are and see the "4K" video from it. Don't place them somewhere where you are not ok with shutting down the camera to change/charge the battery and don't have the patience with it not re-syncing to the base. Tangentially, I bought a solar panel to avoid this and have stopped working just a year later. The range needed between the base and the cameras is abysmal. The shortest distance between one connection is like 20 feet with a single wall to the outside of the house and I get only 2 bars out of 3, whatever that means. This meant have to get another base where one MicroSD card worked and the other didn't like I mentioned previously. Worst of all, the actually important features that you want to have to protect yourself and anyone else living with you is behind a subscription service. Let me explain what I wanted: I set up the camera to look at the grass in the front yard exclusively where no human beings should be there between Midnight and 5 AM. I know that there are apps approved from Apple that allow for notifications that disregard the Do Not Disturb mode of your phone and still blare out a noise push notification. I wanted to have that happen in that situation so that I can personally check the feed and then make the judgment call to use the Camera's siren or call the police, but they instead want to charge $9.99/mo and the option is to automatically call the police for some reason. Plus some other stuff like storing the videos in the cloud, but they got in trouble before about how that is done so you can look up yourself since I'm tired of writing about this terrible system. Don't know of any good alternative since I am not in a position to spend more money on some other system, but I would guess that a Eufy system is better since you can more camera per dollar, some have built-in solar panels for battery, and let you use an actual hard drive so that you can actually record more.

I am using 1 camera right now and it is working well. The images are a lot clearer and sharper. The field range is bigger too. The problem I have with the Arlo cameras is that they do not always activate when motion is in its range.

the cameras are not that user friendly in terms of pinpointing the range. We get a lot of cars, etc., that use up battery and that we were told we could reduce the range. Maybe we are just too technologically impaired. The cameras do take good video.

The Arlo Cameras are very good with an excellent video quality. I like them, but I do not like the platform that is used. Specifically, the recordings from the individual cameras do not record 24 hours a day. I have the Nest cams and those do record 24/7. The main reason is that the cameras run on battery power. If you do not mind that the only recordings are of actual movent in view of the camera then these are a good choice. I returned my cameras for that reason only. The product is exceptional.

The range is not quite as good as advertised but the picture is great and the battery for the camera at the main door only lasted 1 week before requiring charging. When using the app the features far out perform the old Night Owl system we had.

Easy set up. Love the activity range you’re able to set up. Have not used very long but hope the batteries hold up long before another charge. Quick response when arming or disarming them.

The camera is a nice camera, doesn't do as well as others in low and dim lighting. Wish the quality was better being its a 4k camera. The features do work well within the smart All subscription. Support is great, you can access support right within the app. A couple of frustrating things: It can be very difficult to get a strong signal to the bridge, and will more than likely require another bridge if you have cameras inside and outside. And again the video quality could be better, hope they increase the bitrate in a firmware update.

Ive owned a few previous models of Arlo. This is the best! Ive used it now for more than a month and this model has the best quality video capture. Live the 189 view. Con: without the cable charger, the wireless disnt last but a month in the high traffic area. Bought cables for all so i dont have to worry about dead battery.

Petty good value for 3 4k cameras and mounts. The extra battery is nice as well (but man it if was more than 1 extra battery it would help so so much) The software to use them is also pretty good, make sure your on the new system and not their old app which is not obvious at is deprecated. The new software has object detection, person, vehicle, and animal detection where your free to configure notifications based on that while having the cams record anyway. This is an extra service along the tune of 15 a month for the storage of videos which is understandable. The BIGGEST issue with this set is the WEAK arlo base you connect the cameras too. The signal is pathetic and I actually recommend any other product due to this. Please don't save money on this piece arlo common, if the cams can't stream the data to this because of this it makes all the great tech here worthless.

Coming from Ring products used for couple years before i switched over. Luckily it was on sale! Had to get it and night and day difference and it catches everything pretty fast animal, person, and vehicle and it puts a square around the area that has motion. Happy with this purchase!

Excellent camera system. It was east to set up. Depending on how high you mount the cameras, you might want to get either the 25 foot charging cable so you don’t have to remove the battery to charge it, or the solar panels for the same reason. Video taken is of excellent quality. The only flaw in the product is sue to the alerts from the Arlo app. If you live on a busy corner like I do, you get constantly annoyed by the alerts. You can turn them off, but only for a max of 24 hours.

Was honestly surprised by the value here. Yes it’s expensive, but if purchased in pieces, this would have been far more expensive. Have had Arlo cameras in the past that we loved and so far the upgraded versions are awesome. We love the new features. Have had minor battery life issues but were hoping it was just a defective battery. We are going to work with BestBuy and Arlo to see if we can rectify that problem. Otherwise amazing deal!

Easy to use, reliable batteries, and do not to be charged often. Audio and visual are of high quality and you can adjust settings to what you needs. These cameras were just a add on to my already in place arlo camera system. That's how good they are.
