It's kind of old school in that you have levels and in between each level is dialog and upgrades. You can't explore or anything in-between levels and it's pretty linear. But it looks really good and plays really well. Boss fights can be frustrating until you learn how to use your mech or change out your weapons. It's definitely worth $40 due to it's limited game play.

It helps to have such a wide array of customization on the fly if you lose a mission, just change your rig and give it another go. Gorgeous visuals, great audio design, a shockingly gripping story, and you have yourself an underrated gem of 2023.

The game has a terrible scalling for missions they are way to easy and everything moves way to fast.
