My two boys play this game and love it. It gets a little crazy if they try to play in the car so we typically don't let them play it while we are driving. I haven't played it as much as they have but I would say the only downfall is that the controls are as sensitive and responsive as they need to be. Overall, this is a great fighting game. Each of the characters has their own special abilities and you can select their glove type as well which makes things interesting.

Very fun to play with the family has more then just fighting also has basketball and volleyball! Up to 4 players!

if any of you have ever played "punch out" for the wii, its basically that. The motion controls are good and it keeps up well, but its really meant to be a collaborative 2 person game. Little variation between rounds, there are some interesting twists sometimes, but its close to the same anyway. Overall not bad and lots of fun if you have friends or siblings to play with.

Good game for small kids or to play with friends. Not a fan of playing alone vs the computer, but the controls are unique and simple to master.

I wouldn't recommend this for adult gamers. It's basically a button-masher with few game mechanics to play around with. It does have cool characters with unique weapons that kids get a kick out of. My son and his friends can play for hours at a time before getting bored. Maybe look for it on sale or used though - kind of expensive for what you get.

ARMS is a lot of fun if you have at least one other person to play it with. It's also a lot of fun if you don't bother with the motion controls. However, the game suffers from a very weak single-player mode that consists of fighting the same characters in the same stages over and over, with the only reward being a few coins you can use to attempt to unlock new ARMS.

A world where people fight with ramen noodles, DNA, and snakes shouldn't be this much fun. It may take a while to get the hang of the controls in Arms, but the wildly inventive characters, catchy theme music, and unique gameplay style offer enough to capture the attention of casual and competitive gamers alike.

Wii Sports Boxing on steroids. Joy Cons are so much fun to use with this. Can't wait to see the updates that are coming for free. Great game!

My expectations weren't too high for this game, but it far exceeded them. It's a great family/party game, especially when using motion controls. The difficulty ramps up very quickly in the single player portion and forces you to improve to continue winning. Overall, it's a fun game that's worth the price.

Pros: Colorful characters; kid friendly combat without being too violent; fighters are weighted well with no one really overpowered; intuitive controls and easy to pick up and play. Cons: Not a lot of unlockables; gameplay can get repetitive and lead to button mashing. Overall: Highly recommended for local multiplayer. The battles are a blast.

This game is an incredible party game. My daughter is loving it. The game uses motion controls for punching and moving around. Has great grapichs lots of game modes and diferrent control schemes to play the game. Up to four player locally. You can also play online. The volleyball mini game is super fun.

So after about 2 weeks this game has been a hit. This is an awesome party game and a much better buy if you have real people to play with. The single player content can be repeated but is very short. There are 30+ unlockables for the current roster of 11. Nintendo also is providing free DLC so expect regular new content and characters in the future. The game plays fine with a single joycon but is hard to aim at other fighters. Up to 4 real people can play at once but 2 player fights are the best since I would assume most normal families would have 4 joycon. Motion controls work as expected and give you full control on your punches. There's also a party mode that rotates through different game modes and is a good way to play. Online works surprisingly well but with no ways to communicate is feels like your play a better CPU. My youngest daughter (5yrs) and oldest at (16yrs) have logged a total of 40 hours in 2 weeks. Both have a good understanding of the mechanics but still struggle to beat daddy. Pretty good for a fighting game.

This game is very fun. The characters and game play is so unique and original. The only gripe and reason it does not get 5 stars is that I wish it had a more fleshed out story mode. I want to learn more about the lore surrounding these characters, but I guess they chose to focus more on game play mechanics this time around. Overall I definitely recommend.

This is a great game that actually gives you a small work out when playing the young ones in the family.

This is one of the exclusive games for switch that uses nintendo motion controllers. Nice experience.
