What Nintendo did to shooters with Splatoon, they've done to fighters with Arms. With an INCREDIBLE soundtrack, a unique cast of characters, and innovative gameplay, Arms is incredibly charming. And new features, 5 characters, and 5 stages were added via FREE updates.

Heavily underrated game! Nintendo did a great job with this new IP. I love it.

Nintendo again takes a well-represented genre and comes out with a great version with a unique take. ARMS is a ton of fun to play, the characters ooze personality, and the online modes have lots of replayability. If you own a Switch, you owe it to yourself to check out ARMS.

This game is really fun and challenging. The boxing dynamic is tough to learn but beginners will figure it out in short order. Going through the single player mode is the biggest challenge since the mini-games against CPU opponents offer little forgiveness (I'm stuck in the target challenge). Otherwise lots of fun!

ARMS is an interesting twist on fighting games. You face off against an opponent in a 3D environment and throw punches at range to see who will come out on top. There are plenty of interesting characters and great music to keep you coming back. Single player content is fairly light, this is primarily a multiplayer game.

My 12 yr old son loves it great game, a very unique gameplay, I can't believe how accurate are the motion control.

ARMS has everything you could want in a fighting game. It has an Arcade mode, a variety of single player modes, and a robust amount of online game types. There is a "Party" mode where you can just have fun playing against others online in several different game types. There is also a "Ranked" mode where there are no power ups and it is one on one for serious players. Best of all, anyone can play this game and feel like they are decently good at it, in at least a few of the modes. You can use motion or button controls, and in my experience one isn't necessarily better than the other - it really is just a matter of preference. I also know that Nintendo will be releasing lots of free DLC in the coming weeks and months, which will continue to increase the value of the game. Overall, ARMS is extremely polished with a rock solid 60 frames per second, great graphics, amazing music, and best of all, it is fun to play.

The whole family from ages 7-39 loves this game. It is easy to learn and fun to play.

Note that I used the motion controls exclusively. ARMS is a Nintendo take on the fighting game genre, delivering an easy to pickup, fun to play, but hard to master, colorful boxing game where all of the gloves (ARMS) are on springs. The handful of characters are each distinctive, with their own quirks, but quite customizable as each 'arm' can be changed out, with each variant has different behaviors, strengths and element, which adds a strategic element. The only downside is how long it takes to unlock all of the options for each character. Online play was seemless and quick to find lobbies and matches. I found the motion controls intuitive, although with any new control scheme, there is a learning curve, especially curving punches and general movement. I've heard the standard controls are generally good, but quirky. With all of the free updates planned, I'm sure this already great package will get better.

I absolutely love this game. At first I was worried about the controls but once I played it I found it was easy to learn and play. Now I feel very competitive when playing with friends. I recommend this game to anybody who loves fighting games or likes competiveness.
