Setup and use is very simple, directions are enclosed and easy to follow (even for a novice cook like me). Pros - easy to use, easy to clean, set and forget almost. Cons - small steamer area, limited to what you can put in there (asparagus had to be cut), rice bowl was good size but you can really only do basic rice (nothing with multiple ingredients that require boiling water).

I love the steam feature for vegetables on it! My mistake is just not paying attention to how long they are steamed because they will turn out mushy. My fault though! I did get the protection plan because rice cookers are known to break in my household. So if it does in the next two years ill just go into best buy to fufill my protection plan and get a replacement!
